Personal History:
Pthia Son'ratH was brought up by her parents to believe strongly in both their belief systems where compatable, and sometimes where they were wildly conflicting (her upbringing was, needless to say, very interesting). Although she has been taught the history of her father's House, it must be noted that he was disowned by the leaders of that house for marrying her mother. Her childhood was split between Bajor and Qo'noS until her father's death whilst the family was on board Deep Space Nine. He was killed defending her mother and herself during an attempted mugging. Scince then Pthia has trained vigorously everyday, increasing her skill in all martial arts. She is capable of using many weapons well and can be found taking a fighter out for a spin at times to keep up her level 7 pilot's proficiency.
Her mother took over her teaching from then on and helped her develope her interests in the sciences further by applying to the Bajoran Center for Sciences on her behalf. Her life was uneventful until she decided to visit Qo'noS again, her daily training enabled her to leave the planet with only a few bruises but she realised that on Qo'noS her unmistakable Bajoran birthright did her no favours. She returned to Bajor and to her mother, whom she helped in the lab doing research which would have taken much longer for her mother to do on her own.
Eventually Pthia's mother died as old age complicated her Kalla-Nohra Syndrome and Pthia had nothing more holding her to Bajor. She left to travel around the Quadrant for a time before finally being convinced to join Starfleet. She passed her exams first time through the academy, and thanks to her previous employment in the sciences managed to join Deep Space Orion as the Chief Science Officer. She has also recently become the Custodian of the Science Council Database.
