Personal History:
Vendaval was the first born of four children, born onboard a freighter ship her parents were crewing for at the time, she grew up onboard different ships, travelling the galaxy and occassionally further afield until she was 12 years old. Her brother, Oluja, was born when she was just 2 years old, her sister, Burza, was born 6 years later and her youngest sibling to date was born when she was 13 years old. She learnt to control her considerable telepathic and telekinetic abilities when she was very young and was known to help the freighter's crew with loading and unloading of cargo before she was 8 years old.
After leaving home at 18 she moved to Space Station Anwylaeth Chan Buchedd (SS ACB) to start her career in the sciences, quickly realising her interest lay in the field of infectious diseases she devoted her studies to these and became well known as an expert in viruses affecting all races. The station laboratories came under attack when a terrorist group tried to access to some of the diseases being worked on for use as weapons, during the attack Vendaval's right knee was shattered. When she came back into full conciousness she found the lab ransacked and many of her friends dead, distraught she turned her back on her research and started towards a career in counseling in which her telepathic abilities and friendly nature have been invaluable to her. She recently joined Starfleet and has been assigned to the Trilista Colony as the new counsellor.
Vendaval has also completed the OPS course and Fighter Pilot course at the Academy, she decided to take the tests after she realised that much of them were things she had learnt growing up on freighters, many of which had fighter escorts due to pirate attacks on their route. She believes it is the Jaran half's influence on her Arkanian side which has overcome most of her loathing of violence. Thanks to her friendly nature, which is also a trait that comes through strongly from her Jaran half, she never actually feels the need to resort to violence unless it is to protect her family, her friends, or herself.
Family History:
Vendaval's parents met when they first crewed togrther on the same ship, they make an odd couple with Tymestl seeming to tower above her partner, Brythwch. The family is very close, the bond strengthened by the level of telepathy they all share, even light years apart they can still contact each other if necessary. On the freighter Grwydrwr the 2 oldest siblings helped their parents to move the ship telekinetically when the engines went offline and were unable to be fixed, the family have agreed never to do this again unless someone is waiting to "catch" the object at the other end after only just escaping a catastrophe. They have "shown" some of their close friends how to accomplish this but made them promise not to try unless in emergencies, and never without a "catcher" present. Her sister is the only one of the 4 siblings to have partnered, her love is a Betazoid named Seren Blentyn and all of the family enjoy his company. They all now await a new arrival to the family, although Burza will insist she is going to have twins.
Traits / Notes:
Her height is more than average Jaran's but still less most other races. She is, however, unusually strong for her size.
