DISCLAIMER: The characters of Tom and B'Elanna belong to Paramount. The story is mine.

AUTHOR'S NOTE: Ok, I've read several stories of Tom and B'Elanna in a turbolift, backseat/frontseat of a car, and where ever else. I thought I would do one, but be more romantic about it. This is my first time of doing one of these stories, so go easy. It's also my first short story. Comments and suggestions are welcome.

THE LAKE

Thomas Eugene Paris waited patiently for the object of his affections to arrive. He brushed his royal blue jacket for the fifth time, trying to calm his nerves. He then walked around the holoprgram making sure everything was perfect for tonight. He was making his second round when he heard the doors to the holodeck open. He turned around and froze. There before him was the most beautiful sight he had ever seen.

B'Elanna Torres stood in front of the doors, blushing. She was wearing a light pink gown that stopped at her ankles. It had a V neckline that started at her shoulders and ended in a point at her breasts. It had small puff sleeves, and she wore long gloves that appeared to make the short leeves longer. Her dark brown hair was pulled back into a knot. She looked down at the gown and brushed an imaginary winkle out of it. She then looked back up, and froze as well. She smiled as she gazed at the sight before her.

The holoprogram was a huge ballroom set in the eighteenth century, which explained the costumes the two wore. There was a staircase behind Tom flanked by two large plants. To her far right was French doors that led out into the night. In front of the doors was a string quartet, softly playing music. On the ceiling was a large chandler that sparkled like diamonds. To the far left was a huge fireplace where a fire was burning bright. In front of the fireplace was a long table. On the table was a candelabra.

Tom smiled as he watched B'Elanna stare at her surroundings. He walked toward her, stopping a couple feet before her. His eyes sparkled and B'Elanna blushed even more.

"You're late," Tom said, staring into her dark eyes.

"Like you're always on time," B'Elanna shot back, smiling.

Tom chuckled and shook his head. He offered her his arm and she took it. The two walked toward the long table and sat down. Tom sat next to B'Elanna, taking her hand in his.

"You've outdone yourself...again," B'Elanna said, smiling.

"Thanks," Tom said. Their dinner arrived then, chicken parmigiana.

The two ate their dinner, talking about anything. B'Elanna praised Tom's remarkable talent for creating holoprograms, causing him to blush as well as smile.

"Wait till you see the rest of it," Tom mentioned, "This house isn't all of it. There's the outdoors."

B'Elanna smiled, glad to see that she could make him become so modest. She liked to see him that way.

For dessert, Tom led B'Elanna to the dance floor. The quartet played softly as the two moved along the floor. B'Elanna was about to place her cheek on his chest when he suddenly dipped her. She stared at him, shocked. He then righted her and she stared at him.

"Don't do that," B'Elanna growled, her eyes glittering with amusement.

Tomnodded as he wrapped one arm around her waist and took one hand in his. The two continued to move to the music.

Later, Tom led B'Elanna through the French doors to the patio. B'Elanna was even more awed by the outdoors. The sky was clear and a full moon hung in the left sky. The stars sparkled like the chandler inside. A yard stretched out before them, and was fenced by a forest. She looked at her companion, her awe clearly expressed on her face. Tom smiled and led her out into the forest.

"Up ahead is the best part of the whole program," Tom whispered as he stepped over a protruding tree root.

"You never cease to amaze me," B'Elanna said, moving a branch out of her way.

Tom smiled at her, glad that she was enjoying herself. This was one person that he enjoyed trying to please. It made him feel as if he finally full filled what he had tried years to do with others, including his father.

A sudden gasp brought him back to reality. Before them was a beautiful lake. He even stared in awe as he watched the reflection of the moon dance on the surface of the water. He looked over at B'Elanna and was awed again as he saw the reflection dance in her eyes.

"It's wonderful," she whispered, stunned.

"Thanks," Tom said, taking her in his arms, "I'm glad you like it."

B'Elanna leaned into his embrace where she always seemed at peace, "I love it, Tom."

He kissed the top of her head, then brought her face up to stare into her eyes. He kissed her deeply, feeling all the tension of trying to make the night perfect leave him. He ran his hands through her dark hair as she pushed his jacket off his shoulders. He reached behind her and began to untie the back of her dress.

B'Elanna moved her lips to Tom's neck as she began unbuttoning his light blue shirt. She felt the leeves of her dress slid slowly off her and his lips upon her bare skin. She sighed as she pushed the blue shirt off Tom's shoulders and down his arms. She paused undressing Tom to slid her dress down her shoulders and to her waist. She then shoved it down her legs and stepped out of it. She then went back to Tom to see that he had taken his pants off.

They stared at each other for a few minutes, admiring the other. The two then closed the gap between them. Paris picked Torres up and carried her to the edge of the lake. He then lowered her into the water and covered her in kisses. He slipped Torres' underware off her hips and down her legs. He tossed them onto the ground then kissed her mouth. He ran his hands through her hair as the water lapped underneth them.

Torres ran her hands up his back and into his blonde hair. She growled into the kiss, telling his that she wanted more. She then felt him lay kisses and nips on her neck then her breasts. She gasp as he bit one then the other. She clawed his back as he began to lick them then blow on them. She arched her back as he took one in his mouth.

"Tom," she moaned as she moved her hands down to the him of his underware.

Reading her mind, Tom paused his caresses to take them off. He then returned to kissing B'Elanna. He then spread her legs and went into her. He heard her gasp then moan his name.

B'Elanna wrapped her legs around his waist as he began to move inside her. She felt both his thrusts, and the lapping of the water as it met the shore. His rythmn matched the waves of the water as they both were carried to the edge.

"Oh, Tom," B'Elanna moaned as she ran her hands into his hair. Her grip tightened as he picked up the pace. She could almost feel the waves matching him as well.

Suddenly, B'Elanna flipped them over to where she was on top. She stared down into his surprised blue eyes and smiled. She then began rocking her hips forward, causing a moan from Tom. She smiled ferally as she ran her hands over Paris' chest. She heard the lapping of the water against the shore as well as felt it against her legs. She moved to that rythmn, moaning Tom's name.

Tom met B'Elanna's rythmn as the water washed over his legs. He then picked up the pace as he felt her tighten around him. He felt Torres' nails dig into his chest as she drew closer. He thurst into her twice more before he heard her scream his name. He then thurst into one last time before he released inside her.

B'Elanna fell limply onto Tom. The two lied there, listening to the sound of the water lapping against the shore. After their heart rates slowed down a bit, B'Elanna sat up and looked into Tom's eyes.

"You always seem to out do yourself, Tom," she whispered, "You keep this up and you'll run out of ideas."

Paris smiled and brought her down for a kiss. He then whispered into her ear, "I alsways have one or two more ideas in the back of my mind just waiting to be used. I doubt that I'll ever run out of ideas. If I do, we could always try one of yours. I know you have some of your own."

B'Elanna looked at him, her dark eyes dancing, "Oh, I have a few I would love to try on you. When ever you run out of ideas, just come find me."

Tom returned her feral smile with one of his own. He then sat up and took her in his arms, kissing her deeply. His mind was already working on another program that he wanted to try out with her.

I wonder what she would think about a waterfall he thought as he lied down on his back, bringing B'Elanna with him.
