Posing as a social services worker, Starky is a demon who is determined to claim the angelic souls of four crippled young girls. The demon is denied what he seeks when the souls of the girls are taken back to Heaven by Seraphim.
This helpful, polite sheriff turns out to be the head honcho of a town full of vampires. Although most of them limit their exsanguinations to cattle, one rogue vampire's deeds attract the attention of the FBI. Hartwell misleads the agents and drugs Scully, allowing Hartwell and the other vampires to "pull up stakes" and leave town.
