Although the youngest of the Vampire Lords, what Draven lacks in experience, he makes up for in sheer power. His vampire enhanced titan body nearly radiates might. Draven takes no abuse from anyone and is likely to remove their head if he feels that he has been insulted. This overconfident attitude and quest for recognition amongst the Vampire Nation almost caused his death at Cain's hands at their first meeting. Cain quickly put him in his place but he still harbors some resentment to the Lord of the Vampires. |
Draven's early life consisted of working as a mercenary with his uncle, a great and renowned warrior. Unfortunately, it seemed that nothing Draven did was good enough for his uncle and was constantly reprimanded for his incompetence. With each new mission, he strove to do greater feats to win his uncle's approval. This behavior also led to a beating and lecture from his uncle for being overconfident. When he felt he could do no better and was contemplating suicide, a vampire thief attempted to steal his coin pouch. Draven's overconfidence in battling this smaller, but faster, foe led to an embarrassing fiasco. Through the humiliation of defeat, however, Draven learned how he might get the extra speed and precision he needed to impress his uncle. Throughout the following months, Draven tracked down every vampire that crossed his path until he convinced one to convert him. After his rebirth, he quickly dispatched the vampire who converted him as he could not stand anyone in power over him. Relishing in his newfound power, he began a week long spree of murders and pillaging. It was only the amassed forces of the local army that was able to ward him away from the town. When he attempted to show his uncle his new abilities, his uncle was disgusted and disowned him. This pushed Draven over the edge and in a murderous frenzy, killed his uncle and 8 of his clansmen. Draven's power has attracted many, younger, quick-tempered vampires to join his guild. They see the Silverbane clan as a quick way to power but do not realize that true power does not come from strength alone. |
