Chara watched the display lazily, until she remembered the task she was to do today. She stretched, yawned, and washed in the dew on the edge of the Iris. Stretching her wings, she mentally pictured where she wanted to go.
Gracefully she floated off of the petal, her wings beating so fast they seemed nonexistent. She rose three feet above the Iris and then she dissapeared. Flying so fast she was like a blur of some insect. She reached her destination quickly.
Setting off the motion detecor above the door, she endered into the busy building. Seeing her friends in the back, she landed quickly.
"You're late," said an overly tall female. She looked human, if someone didn't look at her unhumanly blue eyes and pointed ears.
"I'm sorry," Chara said. "I watched the sun rise."
"Faeries!" said a Brownie. "You watch too many sun rises. Next time 'take a picture, it lasts longer.'"
"Hush!" The elf looked sharply at the Brownie. "You need to hang around humans less....Bill." At the name, Chara rolled her eyes. Bill had picked up his name while in someplace called Arkansas. Chara could not understand why he would want to stay in a place like Arkansas.
"What do we do today, Anne Bo?" Bill smiled when he said her name, and the elf grew angry.
"Don't call me that!" she screeched at him. "I have told you never to call me that!"
Anne was close to stomping on the Brownie. Chara almost let her since the elf chose the name herself, of Anne Bolyn, but Chara's michievous side wanted to play.
"Anne, can we have some fun? Besides smashing lower Fae I mean."
"All right, we'll have some fun. Chara, go pester some of the customers, and take their hair things. Bill, take your rat cloak and scare the humans in the food place. I will mess with their minds while they try on clothes." She motioned for them to take off.
Chara flew around the human's heads, to the point where they looked everywhere for the fly they thought was buzzing around them. She had enormous fun. She stole a few barrettes, one hair clip, and plastic bobby pins, bringing each to Anne.
After a while, she tired of making the humans squirm, so she went to their meeting spot. Minutes later, Bill walked into view.
"I have those humans laying down any trap they can find! Ha, ha!" He laughed until he was rolling on the floor. Chara just stood on a shelf, shaking her head.
Anne made female humans buy clothing many sizes too big or too small. When no other female came into the dressing rooms, she went to meet the other two.
"Let us go. We are through. Shall we meet in three turns of the sun?" Bill and Chara nodded. "Good-bye then."
Bob waited until Anne was out of hearing range, then siad, "Good-bye then, Anne Bo!"
He laughed as Chara flew to the doors and set off the detector once more. As she flew out, she looked back and saw the name of the building. *Why do they call it Wal-mart?* she wondered. Shrugging, she flew off to her Iris, thinking of nothing until the firey ball set, showing off the brilliant colors once more. As she drifted off into her dreams, she thought of the mischief she could cause in the next dawning.
