Dear Eros,
I asked my Elfin Father where I came from and he said, "Ask your Mother."
I asked Mother and she said, "Ask your Fairy Godmother, I'm busy."
I asked my Godmother and she said, I came from Love and Love came from Eros,
her brother.
Please tell me, how did Mom and Dad get Love and why are they dizzy?
Searching for Love: Chris.
On a bright night some years ago, the stars gave up their power
And sent it through time and space; then, through clouds to here on earth.
Love is a dust that falls from the heavens like pollen from a flower.
When mixed with lust, the union becomes the source of many a birth.
Flying on a breeze scented with jazzman's alluring tear drops.
My wings gathered just enough dust to tip only one arrow.
Searching under moonbeams that reflect off wavy chops,
The lake appeared to glitter; as, I soared higher than the sparrow.
It was the sound of sweet music that lured me to their perch.
The wind whistled through the leaves while the limbs begin to bash.
Branches spread wide allowing me to see; that, I need no longer search.
Peering from above the Magnolia, I dove down as if to crash.
I knew I had but one chance to fulfill my magic.
To strike both at once would test my skill.
If I pieced only one, it would be tragic.
For one to Love and not the other would be ill.
Their pulse seemed to beat in unison with the rhythm of their song.
I held my breath, pulled the string, took aim and let my arrow fly.
It sliced through their hearts at God's speed; it did not take long.
The Love tipped shaft flew straight and narrow. O! My.
That moment on, your Mom and Dad were in infected with Love,
An incurable love with life and the lives they share.
Chris, you came from star dust: the stuff from above.
Your parents are busy because they care.
Giver of Love: Eros
