Romsca
By Steelshine

Romsca the ferret, brave and bold:
Much of her life has never been told.
This poem picks up on her life up to date,
And continues at the same high speed rate.
Somehow our hero has come to Sampetra,
Exciting plot coming, you know, I betcha!
She sails under Conva the stoat captain corsair,
First mate of the ship Waveworm, that's fair!
But Ublaz decided to get him out of his hair!
Now Romsca's the captain, on a mission, too!
Sailing far through the wide ocean blue.
Destination: Mossflower, to retrieve the pearls.
Watching the waves float and turn in gray curls.
Lask Frildur caused trouble, so she took it in care,
Disregarding either his curses and glare.
Those moniters went straight to the cabins for'ard,
Saying she'd give them a dinner o' tallow lard!
The lizards turned green and started to shake,
While a ditty did Romsca proceed to make!
A quick stop at the island of Grath Lutra's holt,
But on the right course did the ship quickly bolt.
Soon they'd reached, their destination true,
The vermin're in Mossflower, now I'm telling you!
Lask Frildur took charge, and netted some mice,
Well, one was a bankvole, and she wasn't that nice!
The lizards licked their lips, and hoped for a meal,
But the Abbey creature's lives Romsca wouldn't let them steal!
She befriended Durral, in an odd sort of way,
And then helped Viola escape, the very next day!
The Waveworm sailed off, with the Abbot in tow,
Back to Sampetra they were going to go.
But the trip was cut short by a gigantic fight,
Soon it looked as if the creatures were killed by a blight!
Romsca disposed of the lizard Frildur,
And the rest of those lizards, she killed even more!
But mortally wounded, she lay against the mast,
When the Abbot saw the injury, he was aghast.
She knew she was dying, going to the gates,
Along with the rest of her newly dead mates.
Durral made her comfortable, she breathed her last.
Lying against the broken mast.
Thus ends the life of Romsca the ferret,
Full of great deeds and swashbuckling merit.
