Earth Final Conflict is the TV series behind this website. It’s first season was
aired in 1997. It was created by Gene Roddenberry, creator of Star Trek. However, Star
Trek kept him busy enough and Earth Final Conflict (EFC) was not produced till after his
death, by his wife Majel Roddenberry.
The alien race Taelon arrived on Earth claiming to be a peaceful race in 2003, calling themselves the Companions. Since then, the calender has changed to be based on the arrival of Taelon, 2003 A.D. became 1 A.C. (After Companion). They are much more evolved than humans are. They created the commonality that links all Taelons together psychologically. The commonality is created while they are seeking spiritual perfection. Since their arrival, they have set up embassies in all major cities. The Taelon Mothership, in lunar orbit, oversee all Taelon operations. Their advanced technology solved many problems humanity was facing. However, Taelon’s only agenda is the survival of their race -- no matter the cost. They have a history of eliminate an entire race in order to preserve their own. The Resistance Movement, or the Liberation Movement, was soon formed, based on the notion “there is no free lunch.” They wanted to know why the Taelons came to Earth, and what is the price humanity is paying for their help. Before long, the Resistance Movement became a force the Taelons would want to eliminate. More people are drawn to the Resistance Movement as more evidence of Taelons’ hidden agendas are being revealed -- even though the majority of the human population is still blind about the Taelons’ doings. The Resistance is more organized than even the Taelons thought. The Movement had many deep cover operatives who are employed by the Taelons. Even Companion Protectors, the highest position a human can hold under the Taelon employ, could be a Resistance undercover agent. In fact, the companion protector of the North American Companion had always been a double agent -- protecting the Taelons in appearance and working for the Resistance secretly. The Resistance had even started to be filtered into the Taelon mothership command. In season two, a new race is introduced. They are called the Jaridians. The Taelons insist that they are barbaric and violent in nature. However, the Jaridians are in war with the Taelons only because the Taelons hunt them. They need the Jaridians to preserve their race. In the Taelons’ quest for spiritual perfection, they have lost their ability to reproduce. The Jaridians are their only hope for survival. The Jaridian and Taelon are original one race; they split over the commonality. The Jaridians did not wish to lost the ability to reproduce. The Taelons advertise that they are preparing humans for the Jaridian invasion, the Jaridians are not actually a threat to humans. The Taelons just want to use humans are dispensable soldiers. Interestingly enough, the main character for Season 1 was killed off in the season finale. A new character was introduced. This created a split in the fan bas of the series. Many fans dislike the direction the series is taking. Kevin Kilner, played William Boone, had bee replaced by Robert Leeshock, playing
Liam Kincaid. Although the basic function of this new character is essentially the same
as Boone, Kincaid’s background is fairly interesting. Liam is the son of two companion
agents (humans) and an alien called Ha’gel. Ha’gel belongs to a race called Kimera --
fairly similar to the Taelons because the Taelons assimilated them. Ha’gel, being the last
of his kind, brought Liam to the world -- while the two human parents are totally unaware
of his existence. (Liam did reveal his existences to his mother right before she died.) His
true identity and his alien heritage is known to only about 5 people, including Da’an. His
alien abilities has quickly gained him the position of Da’an’s protectors and the leader of
the Resistance. Da’an believes that Liam represent the future of both human and
Taelons. He believes Liam could be the answer to the Taelons’ eventual extinction. This
is why Da’an still believes Liam even he is so involved in Resistance activities.
