Win or Lose

Tiredness, it blankets me,
a cloud invisible to see,
I wish sometimes it'd leave me be,
Tired man not truly free.

Perceptions betray, it's all so clear,
Depressin clouded mind draws near,
Nothing left for you to fear,
Emotions running second gear.

I cannot let it take it's hold,
life's a game I will not fold,
no saving your soul it's already sold,
Just hang in, and you'll grow old.

Empty classrooms, rain-filled skies,
alone, afraid, a child cries,
slowly learning societies lies,
appalled by his world, curls up and dies,

That child is lost, but I must win,
drop illusions of pain and sin,
The line we walk is often thin,
If you set out today, to win.

Stay alert, stay awake,
the risk is one that you must take,
you must succeed for you're own sake,
trust no-one, all care is fake.
