The Irish people loved Brigit so much that they would have none of Christianity if they couldn't have Brigit. They were so determined that eventually the Catholic Church turned Brigit into a saint to please the Irish people.
Triple Goddess Some say that there are three Brigits, one sister in charge of poetry and inspiration, one in charge of healing and midwifery, and one in charge of the hearth fire, smithies and other crafts.
Imbolc
The Celtic spring festival, Imbolc, honors Brigit on February 1st or 2nd. This festival celbrated the birthing and freshening of sheep and goats.
