Tribe of the Caninn'vacai
Tribe of the South Mountains

Vahshian

You start to climb a large hill, going up to the mountains that Jaycee had said to go to.  The path grows steeper, and the path turns to crumbling gravel.  You keep pushing your way upward, trying to find where Jaycee had said to go.  Suddenly your feet slip on a large patch of gravel, and you grab onto a rock at your side to keep from falling all the way down.  Pushing yourself upward, the rock under your hand falls out of the small notch it was in, and you find yourself falling downward, sliding on the gravel.  The path you came up on goes off to your left as you find yourself going off to the side, on a small hidden path.  Finally you stop falling, and get to your feet, brushing off the bits of rock that had dug into you.
"'Lenca.  Parr ile gil lin kalac.  Kishta."  A small Myon, a blueish purple in color, with a blue-green mane, come up to you, his hoofs steady on the loose rocks.  He blinks, and starts again.  "Traveller.  You have found my tribe.  Welcome."  You nod, and thank him for explaining.  He bows, and gives a shrill whistle, calling another Myon, teal with a dark red mane.  She comes up to you, looks at you for a little while, then smiles.

"Hello 'lenca.  Welcome to the Caniin Vacai tribe."  She smiles, and her mate, as the other Myon must be, speaks again.  "I am Nayah'se'ahna, Rain of Stars, the Lead Stallion of this tribe.  This is my mate, Desavi'alon, Spirit Dance, Lead Mare."  He smiles, and you smiles back.
Desavi'alon whispers something to her mate, who smiles happily, then she turns, and runs off through the thin aired mountains.
A pair of Myon come up to you, walking easily on the loose stones underfoot.  They begin to trot, and slow as the come to you.  The blue one bows low to you, and silently watches you.  His dark eyes say nothing, and he is quiet.  He mate, a pink and green mare, mummers something to him, and he nods.  She then turns to you, the white stripe on her nose showing brightly.  She speaks, and her voice is a whisper.  "Hello 'lenca... I am Monah'dahke, Small Flower.  This is my mate, Salvi'se'tote'latea."  The stallion nods again, and she continues.  "His name means Secret of the Water

She then turns to you, the white stripe on her nose showing brightly.  She speaks, her voice quiet.  "Hello 'lenca... I am Monah'dahke, Small Flower.  This is my mate, Salvi'se'tote'latea."  The stallion nods again, and she continues.  "His name means Secret of the Water."  The stallion watches you, not saying anything.  She whispers something to him in Vahshian, and he gives a half-smile.  She goes on.  "He has not spoken since..."  She pauses.  "Since the humans came.  SInce that killed our kind, and murdered the tribes.  He has not spoken a word since that day, and I do not think he ever will."  She smiles sadly at him, and he nuzzles her softly.  "He can speak, I believe, but choses not to.  It will not effect our children I think, it is just that he is silent."  You nod, and the pair trots off.
Nayah turns back to you, and leads you over to a small ledge, with a Myon on it.  Another races by, blue mane flyin back.  The mare on the ledge laughs, and calls down to him in Vahshian.  The stallion smiles, and continues to run.

"'Lenca!  Hello!"  The mare smiles, and says to you.  Her purple mane is lifted slightly by the wind, and she jumps down from the ledge.  The stallion runs by again, and stops next to her, then smiles up at you.  "Greetings!  I am Rona'lamai, Swift Wind!"  The mare laughs, and he grins.  "And I am Aeta'se'lethe, Wish of Fate, 'lenca.  I am Rona's mate."  The stallion nods quickly, smiling.  "I would have no other!"  He laughs, and slows beside her.  He nudges her side quickly, making her laugh, then the two run off.
Nayah smiles, and then looks at you seriously.
"You heard Monah talk of the humans?"  You nod, and he grimaces lightly.  "I do not wish to go into what they did to us, and will say only this.  We are trying to rebuild our kind, and are fostering out our foals.  Do you wish to try to
foster one?"  He looks at you carefully as you make your decision.
