The Bajoran's culture flourished 25,000 years ago. They are a deeply spiritual people and look to their spiritual leader, the Kai, for leadership and guidance. Their history records great architects, artists, builders and philosophers.
Their culture declined rapidly during the decades of Cardassian occupation in the 24th century. They were claimed by Cardassia in 2328, but by 2369 the Bajoran resistance fighters had driven their oppressors out. Most Bajorans wear an ornamental earing on their right ear.
Under their custom, a person's family name is first.
They live on Bajor which is an M-Class planet located near to the Cardassian Border. Bajor has at least 5 moons
