Jack Banaeus is a great friend of Hazard. With dark hair, a trim beard and dark laughing eyes, he very much resembles Caine, although with an emphasis on black, not green. Nobody knows why Bane is in the Irregular Brigade, much less how he got in. Benedict has often been jealous of Hazard's close working relationship with Bane. It is thought he may be jealous for a real reason by those in the know.
