John Walker was born in the New Jersey area. He came
from a long line of police officers and he followed suit. Being a
firm believer in truth and order made him an outstanding officer.
His dedication to justice drove him to become a detective within two years
on the force. Amazingly enough, John never drew his weapon
the entire time he was on the job. He believed that proper
planning and strength could offset the need for death. Death or killing
was never an acceptable answer to bringing criminals to justice.
While he isn't adverse to beating a villian senseles, he refuses to kill
or stooping to the level of a criminal to accomplish his goals.
Upon his retirement from the police force, he spent some time as a private
investigator in the Seattle area. It was there that he was
approached by the UCAS Government concerning this project.
After reading the profile that he was to be given, he accepted it immediately.
The image of Captain America reflected all of his beliefs rolled into one
image. He stood for truth, justice, and freedom.
In addition, Captain America did not use deadly force to accomplish his
goals. Instead he utilized his abilities and intelligence
to acquire the same results.
Upon accepting the assignment, the UCAS Covert Operations removed all
records of John Walker, virtually eliminating the fact that he ever existed.
He was given a new identity, Steve Rogers. During training,
he was issued a replica of Captain America's shield. Captain
America is the assigned leader of this group.
Having been the first of the revived hero's Captain America had a lot
to prove. His first assignment was to uncover a possible
smuggling ring that was working to steal technology and smuggle it into
the CAS and then onto the highest bidder. With the intelligence
that was provided to him, Captain America infultrated the organization
and exposed their current project to the UCAS FBI.
During the final assault of the the smugglers, he doned the Captain America
uniform and lead the raid. His actions were heroic and
decisive in no Federal Agents being killed or injured.
As this project was meant to do more than provide the goverment with superior
agents, it was meant to raise public relations. This entire
raid was filmed by the FBI and then highlights were released to the media.
The next morning the name Captain America was everywhere. Some
believed this was some type of gimmick or hype, but later found out how
serious he was. Over the course of the next three or
four months, Captain America made public appearances, visited schools,
helped set up neighborhood security programs, and most importantly began
operating as Captain America. In the first six months
he made over forty arrests, mostly against street level criminals.
As the heat against Captain America from the criminals began to rise, the
rest of the team was put into action. It is believed
that the Yakuza or one of the Seoulpa Rings has taken out a contract on
Captain America. |
