Who's Who and Where's Where

This section includes characters, places, events and other information that is found in the Chronicles of Narnia. All the information is listed in alphabetical order, characters being listed by their first names, then last. If a word appears in italic, then there will be an entry under that word.

After each entry, there will be a list of the books that reference appeared in.

Ahoshta Tarkaan: The Tisroc of the Grand Vizier of Calormen. .The man who is to marry Aravis. (HHB)

Alberta Scrubb: The mother of Eustace. Aunt of Peter, Susan, .Edmund and Lucy. (VDT)

Andrew Ketterley: A cowardly magician of questionable power who considers himself to be a genius. Digory Kirke's uncle. (MN)

Anradin: The owner of Bree, he offers to buy Shasta from Arsheesh. He is a Tarkaan. (HHB)

Anvard: The kings castle in Archenland. (HHB)

Aravis: A young Colormene woman. She runs away after she is promised .... to Ahoshta Tarkaan for marraige. She leaves with her talking horse,.Whin, and meets up with Shasta and Bree, another talking horse. They all start out on a journey to Narnia together, and she later marries Shasta and becomes queen of Archenland. She is among those present at the Great Reunion.(HHB, LB)

Archenland: The country south of Narnia. Archenland and Narnia are allies.(PC, VDT, SC, HHB, MN)

Argoz: One of the Seven Noble Lords. (VDT)

Arsheesh: A fisherman of Calormen who pretends to be Shasta's father. He agrees to sell Shasta to Anradin. (HHB)

Aslan: A lion, he is the creator of Narnia. He is the son of the Emporer beyond the Sea. He is willingly sacrificed by the White Witch but rises from the dead. Aslan destroys Narnia but creates an everlasting New Narnia. (LWW, PC, VDT, SC, HHB, MN, LB)

Aslan's Country: The home of Aslan. It is also the place that Reepicheep wishes to find. (PC, VDT, SC, LB)

Aslan's How: The hill an which Aslan was sacrificed by the White Wich. It is the location of the Stone Table. ( LWW, PC, HHB)

Aslan's Table: On Ramandu's Island, it is covered with a huge feast every day. (VDT, LB)

Avra: One of the three Lone Islands, it is the home of Lord Bern. (VDT)

Bar: Once the Lord Chancellor of Archeland, he kidnaps Cor(Shasta) and flees to Calormen. (HHB)

Beaver, Mr.: A hardworking talking beaver who befriends Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy. He brings three of the children to meet Aslan. He is among those present at the Great Reunion. (LWW, LB)

Beaver, Mrs.: The thoughtful wife of Mr. Beaver. She is among those present at the Great Reunion. (LWW, LB)

Beaversdam: Home to Mr. and Mrs. Beaver. In later years, it is the sight of a town and historical sight. (LWW, PC, VDT, HHB)

Bern: A noble Lord who rescues Caspian from slave traders. He is made Duke of the Lone Islands. (VDT)

Beruna: A town in central Narnia. It is the sight of two historic battles; the defeat of the White Witch and the defeat of the Telmarines. (PC, VDT)

Bree: A talking horse who was captured as a young foal in Narnia and brought to Calormen. He later escapes with Shasta (Cor) and flees to Archeland with Aravis and Whin. His full name is Breehy-hinny-brinny-hoohy-hah. (HHB)

Cair Paravel: The Castle and town of the Kings and Queens of the Golden Age of Narnia. It is in ruins when the Telmarines are defeated by Caspian, but later restored by Caspian. (LWW, PC, SC, LB)

Calormen: The country south of Archeland. It has always tried to rule both Archeland and Narnia. (VDT, HHB, LB)

Caspian: A Telmarine who was prince and king of Narnia. He and his army defeated the Telmarine army at Beruna. He later sails on the Dawn Treader to find the Seven Noble Lords. He is among those present at the Great Reunion. (PC, VDT, SC, LB)

Charn: The dead city of which Jadis (White Witch) is the queen. (MN)

Chief Voice: Also known as the Chief Monopod or Chief Duffers, he is the leader of the Duffers. (VDT)

Chippingford: A small town where Puzzle buys food for Shift. (LB)
