Zack escapes from Manticore and seeks out Max. Trying to recover his memories of the other X5s, he relates the whereabouts of several to Max, unaware that he is bugged and Lydecker is now hot on their trail.
Returning to the ongoing arc after a short sidestep isn't the major events that you would hope for. If anything, the constant escape, capture, escape aspect is becoming a bit wearing and although Lydecker's plan is a clever one, the outcome is much the same as ever.
What the episode does succeed in doing is upping the stakes of the series, with Logan being forced to involve himself in what's going on to save the X5s from Lydecker. With he and Max both targets now, it will be interesting to see where things go from here. It's also good to note that Logan's newfound walking ability isn't being treated as a miraculous cure-all. The way he is trying to do too much at once looks as thought it will lead to his eventual, rather literal, downfall, and Michael Weatherly portrays well the newfound confidence Logan has in dealing with Max when he doesn't feel like an invalid.
Meanwhile, Zack is made more vulnerable, there's a fantastic fight sequence when he, Max and fellow escapee Tina take on some soldiers and Lydecker's boss is referred to for the first time. Elements are being carefully placed to build towards the end of the season, but it all depends if enough plot points of interest can be found, as this episode is too close to rehashing past events.
