Each Slayer has had a group of friends, and boy are they different! In fact, I'd say that they were almost complete opisites!

THE MOVIE:
Buffy's friends in the show are very, very stuck up. They think that they are the most special people in the world and that everything should be revolved around them. Kimberly is the most stuck up of all. She even thinks she is better than her friends. When they are in the mall at the begining of the movie she says that a jacket that Buffy wants is out of style-but then showed up a while later in the movie with it on. Don't ask. Jennifer is Hillary's little puppy dog. She mainly stays around her and like agrees with everything she says. Jennifer is also on the cheerleading squad with Buffy. Nicole isn't a really important member of the group. She's a snob like the rest, and she's on Buffy's cheerleading squad as well. Last but not least theres, Cassandra. She is the one and only person in the group with a brain. My guess is that the only reason why they are friends with her is because she does their homework for them. She never goes anywhere with them outside of school and when they find out she is dead, they dont even get upset over it. (Well, Hillary does but thats just because she was wearing a jacket of hers.) By the end of the movie they have stoped talking to Buffy since she's 'waked out' in so many words and right after Buffy's jock boyfriend breaks up with her he starts dating Jennifer and that night they do it in his car. Nice friends hunh? I think I'll pass on them...

THE SERIES:
Buffy's friends in the show are way cooler than in the movie and a lot more down to earth...well, most of them. Willow is Buffy's nearest and dearest friend since moving to Sunnydale. She is very shy and loves spending time surfing on her computer. She is also quite smart and will most likely become valedvictorian. Xander is also considered a geek but isn't as smart as Willow. He is totally sweet though and is totally in love with Buffy, Willow is in love with him and he is dating Cordelia. Needless to say he is quite strange also. Cordelia is the only stuck up person Buffy knows and for a while there they weren't even considering each other as friends. But since she has been dating Xander, she has come down to earth--a bit. Now she is official a member of Buffy's crew-but things still get said about her when she is not around=)

Similarites Between the Friends:
They like Buffy, they dress cool (well-in the movie those styles were "in" when it came out=), they both wind up being a part of school functions somehow, both dont like vampires...theres not many=)

Differences Between the Friends:
All of Buffy's friends in the show are still alive-but in the movie a few died or were turned into vampires, and in the show-she has 2 friends that are considered geeky & one considered cool and in the movie she has 3 friends considered cool & one friend considered geeky. In the movie they are seniors in high school, but in the show (I believe) they started the first season as sophmores.
