Dewey Riley is the Deputy of Woodsboro with a sassy sister name Tatum and a crush on news reporter Gale Weathers. He is the all around nice guy and he is through out the whole movie protecting Sidney.

When Sidney is almost killed by her boyfriend at her house-Dewey is the first one on the scene and gets things under control. Although not a regular night and shinning armor-he'll do OK for this movie. We have to feel a bit sorry for him though when he gets bossed around by his younger sister Tatum.

Although when trying to protect Sidney and his sister at Stuart Macher's part-he gets stabbed in the back and is rendered unconscious the rest of the movie. But not to worry-he came out ok, and will be returning in SCREAM 2!
