So, whats in this director's cut thats not in the SCREAM video I rented at my
local video rental store? Well--here's were you can find out!
Casey Becker's Scene
Starting from the beginning it is mainly the same. Except when it gets to when Steve (Casey's boyfriend) is killed. When Steve is killed in the Director's Cut you actually see his guts fall out of his body, roll over his lap and then lay against his leg. Its really disgusting!=)
The next add on to Casey's part was when her mother goes out and starts screaming when she see's Casey dead and hanging from their tree. In the Director's Cut there are no flashes of light and the camera is not moving fast toward her body. It is instead slowly going toward Casey's body and the only time that you actually see a flash of light is when you get right to Casey's face...then there is a flash and it goes to the part with Sidney typing on her computer in her bedroom as does with the theater version.
Tatum's 'I spit on your garage' Scene
As with Casey's death...they show longer parts with Tatum's. It seems when you watch the Director's Cut that nothing here is added. But you do end up seeing Tatum's head a little longer when it gets pulled under the top of the garage door. Its not so quick, a little longer, but not way long. This just gives you a better sence of how close her head almost got compleately ripped off her body.
Billy and Stu's Confession Scene
The first added part is after Billy gets stabbed by Stu and gets the knife back from him. In the theater verison you see Sidney's face while you hear Billy cutting Stu 2 more times that aren't shown on camera and you can hear Stu yell out each time. But in the Director's Cut you see Billy lung at Stu to cut him then you see Stu jump back from getting cut...the whole time it is flashing from them to Sidney's face to her father's face. And this happens the two times that in the theater version you only heard.
The other added part with Billy and Stu was went Billy tells Stu to get the gun. In the theater version you hear Billy telling Stu to get the gun, while he unties pops. In that part in the theater version you see the camera go to Stu's arm, you only see the side of the arm and Sidney's father's face, and you can hear blood dripping from Stu's arm. But in the Director's Cut the camera continues to go down and show you the puddle of blood that Stu has already formed on the floor around his feet.
