X-Files/The Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy Crossover Challenge
I am a big fan of both the TV series and the wonderful science fiction series by Douglas Adams. I personally would love to see a good crossover of the two. Must have MSR and Arthur/Trillian romance. Novel length would be super (extra points in my book!!), but hey, you take what you can get.

A la "You've Got Mail" Challenge
I think that someone should write a story about Mulder and Scully
falling in love on the Internet, à la You've Got Mail. They should be a lot of Unresolved Sexual Tension, but with an MSR ending. Mulder ans Scully should meet in a chat room and get semi-involved with this person (who they don't know is really each other) but then they both realize that they can't keep leading this e-mail romance on because they are in love with each other and that they can never really be with any one else because their hearts belong to each other. They both admit to each other that they are in love with someone else, but that this person doesn't know. Then they should make an agrement to help each other tell the person that they're in love with how they feel. Needless to say they realize that they're secret online friend is really each other and conclude that in the time they've know each other either the only person either of them has even thought about romanticly, has been each other. And this clears up any doubts that either one of them ever had against the idea that they belong together. That this was just the way fate took off the blindfolds and helped them realize that their destiny was
forever intertwined.

The Haunted Love
The story begins as a Mulder/Other or Scully/Other. They seem in love with the person they are involved with. During the duration of the story the character involved with the other dies, either unexpectedly or not. A strong mixture of emotion ensues. The other asks the living to give their word of honor, or to promise that they are not (still) in love with their partner (because they noticed their strong bond then and now), and the character living cannotl. They leave the other and spend the rest of their lives haunted by the memory, hoping that the next time they open a door, or when the doorbell rings, that they are there.
Optional Ideas
A romantic encounter between Mulder and Scully while the other is still alive. Ghostly haunting or visions.

Rape crisis
Mulder and Scully get a rape case. They have to follow the rapists trail of clues to catch him, and when they do, the rapist gets hold of Scully & Mulder and holds them hostage. I have 2 ideas of what could happen next:
the rapist rapes Scully, and Mulder is forced to watch, OR, for the rapists enjoyment, he makes Mulder & Scully do each other. LOTS of Mulder & Scully Angst & RST.The StoriesTherapy -- Tiger Lilly

Protect the One You Love Challenge
Scully is shot trying to protect Mulder during a shooting. She is badly hurt in the head and consequently loses her memory! Her family does not want her to remember Mulder or that she works at the FBI (or at least Bill doesn't). But Scully is looking for the truth and only Mulder can help her.Scully loses her memory, but falls in love with Mulder in her amnesic state. Not knowing that she is his partner, she is more easily able to tell him how she feels.

SPOILERS! In "Dreamland" in the scene where Mulder and Scully are supposedly saying goodbye for the last time ("I'd kiss you if you weren't so ugly" scene), what if Mulder had asked Scully to go with him? As in run away together? If not that moment, what if Scully had changed her mind and gone back to be with him (since she lost her job and all). The partners have no clue that the other even knows the person and they are going to ask each other when they realise the other has plans (the party). The friend will set them up on a blind date together and they won't find out until the party itself is under way (Mulder/Scully is late).Lots of angst on the part of both until they meet.
Option: Some really embarrassing info about both agents come out.

The Bill Scully Junior Bad Guy Story
Bill Jr. gets involved with a plot with the Consortium and/or CSM that centers around the goal of destroying Mulder, though maybe not "death" as their method. Bill Jr. uses the justification that he is trying to save his sister from a horrible fate that Mulder is leading her into. Something does eventually happen to Mulder and Scully eventually finds out that Bill is somehow involved. This leads to an intense confrontation.Optional Ideas
MSR is optional (though highly recommended since this is an extension of a shipper page ;-). Strong affirmation of their partnership and relationship. Lots and lots of Mulder torture. *EG*
