The issue starts out with Deadpool watching Siryn sleeping from a tree outside her window at the Xavier Institute in Westchester, New York. While Wade
is watching, his pal Weasel is kidnapped by unknown thugs. After some banter with Blind Al, Deadpool goes to see Weasel and discovers that he is not there and his homing device
is on. One quick trip to Nevada and Wade is ready to break into the fortress. The boss at the hideout lets Deadpool into the Courtyard revealing himself to be the Taskmaster.
The Taskmaster has absorbed Deadpool's "repertoire of physical behaviours" and stabs DP through guts with his own moves. The Healing Factor of DP's then fails to kick and
the Taskmaster shoots Deadpool with his own gun.
Deadpool wakes up in a cell with Weasel. Weasel tells Wade that he is contemplating joining the Taskmaster but is not sure yet. The Taskmaster interrupts and takes them both to a hall where he gives his pupils a lesson in Deadpool beating. In the fight, Deadpool loses his middle finger, then proceeds to beat on the Taskmaster thanks to some unconventional moves, rescues Weasel, and gets Weasel to keep working with him.
