ISSUE 43: The Morning After, the Night Before
Story is Synopsis:
Tommy has the worst day of his life! We meet Tommy waking up next to Wendy, after a night of sex together. Tommy says "oops", and tries to go away undetected, but Wendy wakes up and tells his off. Tommy then head to Noonan's where we find Hacken mourning about Ringo's death, by getting drunk and saying "he was the best". Tiegel finds out about Wendy, and she breaks up with Tommy. A flawed hit takes place, which has to be completed without the use of a gun, as Tommy forgot the silencer (the cover will give you a clue of what happens!), and the rest you have to see it to believe! I won't give anymore away!!! Read the issue!

Criticizing
Story
I have to say, after last issue, I expected something dark and depressing. But no, the whole "lets remininsce for an old friend with some drinks" was done 30 issues ago. Instead we get an issue that is VERY funny. We see Tommy at his lowest ebb! He just cheated on his girlfriend, he didn't respect Ringo or Tiegel, and he is paying the consequences of his actions! He gets hit, farted at, yelled at, pissed ON, you have to see what happens to him to believe it. The break-up with Tiegel was very nicely done. Seeing Tommy getting punished was a hilarious experience. I mean, don't get me wrong, I like Tommy, he is a great character, but seeing all this stuff (which you have to see for yourselves) happen to him was exhilarating . The whole hit, where Tommy forgot the silencer, and the way it actually took place had me down in tears. Oh, and Tiegel's revenge at the end was incredibly funny.... read this issue... you won't regret it!
Art
This issue was a really quiet one, without any gunfights in it, but some really funny bits inside it. John managed to do a great job in it. The facials of the characters was what really impressed me this issue., like Tommy's face when Natt tell him "What he don't know, won't hurt him", after we saw that line prove wrong, with Tiegel. John and Gary make a really good team, and manage to show the character's real feelings every time. He handled the funny, and sick moments with great imagination and creativity. Sixpack, was drawn in a really hilarious way, and his expressions, as a hero on the rampage on one panel, and as a lousy fartknocker on the other really made me chuckle. I also liked the nifty little details such as the "Whiskey a la Ballacks" in Hacken's hand or the "Employees MUST wash hands" in the toilet. The colours were bright and cheerful, exactly what they should be like in a story like that. By the way, I really LOVED the art when Tiegel gets her revenge on Tommy. We see her at her most sexiest, far more sexy than lots of women in comic books. John, and Gary, did a really great job on her... Too bad we probably won't see her any more.
