Here goes the fan-fic that I'm currently writing, inspired
by Gaston Leroux's and Susan Kay's books,
and by Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical.
I always been thinking about Erik as about a person who really
existed, and suddenly the idea came to my mind. What if he wasn't
deformed from his birth? What if he has known such things as
appreciation and fame? What if he had his ambitions and dreams,
and suddenly something happened,an accident, wich crushed and
destroyed all his life,by deforming his face?It made me
wonder, what is more painfull,to live as the outcast during all
life, and to know just theoretically about the things that fate
denied to him,or to have all and to loose it,just because people
can't see the soul through uglyness?Perhaps all this sounds
weird, but after all that was written wbout Erik, this is my only
chance to write something original, something that never was
written by anybody else.Don't blame me for this attempt... Please keep in mind that this story is about Erik's prototype, not a fictional character which we all know in musicals, books and movies, so I took the liberty to alter the story line and to add more details. This is not a story about Erik - the character Leroux created in his novel, but the story of a man who inspired Leroux on writing it.(all events are fictional, just a twist of my wicked imagination)
