The Truth

by Sara Kennedy

Foot slips and back breaks on sun glinting rocks silver
Hillbilly rolled up jeans turned black wet in the river
Chest covered over, shines damp in sunlight mercury.
Enraged red dust cloud attacks with underwater fury.
Blue lips speaking whispers in ice tomby liquid...
Insufficient scarlett, diluted life fluid.
Shivers earthquake, teeth clatter violent.
All screams lost, all help silent.
Breathe simple potent poison.
Escape my coffin prison
Free soul in flight
