HootieRKLN: It is a possibility, but not anytime soon.

Question: Why don't the guys, other than Mark, talk more during the concert?
Friday night, Mark, who is great, did all the talking.  Darius said little, Soni and Dean
said nothing.  But it was still the best show I have ever seen.  :)

HootieRKLN: Thank you. The rest of us don't really have anything to say
because we are not that bright. IF all of us talk, we'd all be talking over each other.

Question: What was it like having the band mentioned on a show like Friends?
And which one of you gave Courteney Cox the hicky? :)

HootieRKLN: It was Mark and it was a surprise. We didn't know until that
night that we were the subject of the show.

Question:	What's your favorite song you've written so far?

HootieRKLN:	I don't think we've written it yet.

Question:	how did you get together? Do you get along?

HootieRKLN:	We met in college and we get along just fine.  As long as there
is other people we can talk to so

HootieRKLN:	We'll be in Mpls. Halloween weekend... tentatively.

Question:	Who's idea was it for everyone to get goatees and sideburns for the
Tucker's Town video?

HootieRKLN:	God sent us a message.  It wasn't for a video, actually. Whenever
the band goes to Europe, we all grow facial hair and we stopped on the way back to shoot the
video.  SO there it is

Radio USA:	Is it true a Tarot card reader once predicted fame and fortune for
you?

HootieRKLN:	Yep.  It was the guy from the Real World.  It was Dominick from
the Real World

Question:	When is your next album coming out?

HootieRKLN:	Not for a long time.  The year 2000
HootieRKLN:	We just put one out as a matter of fact.

Question:	Darius, do you hate it when people call you Hootie?

HootieRKLN:	Yes, I do.

Question:	How has your success changed your lives?

HootieRKLN:	We are a lot busier and we own houses instead of renting.   We
still don't get to live in those houses... On the road.

Question:	For Dean:  If you could play one song to seduce a woman, what would
it be? (I sent this b4, please forgive me if you get it twice)

HootieRKLN:	I would sing Mona Lisa to her.

Question:	Do you collaborate on songs or write them individually?

HootieRKLN:	We usually collaborate on all of our songs - it provides us with
spontenaity and continuity.

Question:	Why the facial hair, Darius?

HootieRKLN:	It's gone now... it was just that Europe things.  I have a goatee
to hide my double chin.  It beats working out.

Question:	After you finish your tour here in the US, then in Europe, what
will be next for you guys?  By the way, i saw you at Montage Mt. You were incredible!!

HootieRKLN:	Australia, New Zealand, and Asia and hopefully South America for
a little while and many more US dates and stuff.  We will have been touring for over a year.

Question:	Both the songs, "Look Away" and "Tucker's Town" deal with a
disliked father and a boy turning around not to see something. Are both these songs about the
same relationship?

HootieRKLN:	Tucker's Town is more fiction than reality

Question:	What is the address for your fan club & when are you coming to a
Carolina football game (Go Dolphins, too!)

HootieRKLN:	The address is PO BOX 5656 Columbia, SC 29250 and we probably
won't be at game this year because we'll be on the road.\

Question:	In case it didn't get through, Darius, did you get the cross I
threw on stage Friday?  It was given to me by a good friend who died of Aids.  He said to give
it to someone else when the feeling moved me to do so, and it did. ;)  He would be pleased.

HootieRKLN:	I got it and I have it hanging in my locker on the bus.  Thank

HootieRKLN:	HA HA.  The world has already been ruined, we are just trying to live
through it.

Question:	where are you guys from NC or SC? i always heard Chapel Hill.  Can
you comment

HootieRKLN:	We are from Columbia, SC

concerts, and I was wondering if you guys were planning on releasing a video from the
Small Talk Johnson tour??  Are you planning to release an Unplugged CD?  -Amy

HootieRKLN:	Not from the tour, but are doing another long form video.

Question:	how can we get the old stuff from 1993?

HootieRKLN:	Look on the internet for the bootlegs.

Question:	What's the best part of being well known?

HootieRKLN:	Free underwear, free beer, free concerts.

Question:	Darius, Is that your baby on the video of " Only wanna be w/ you"?

HootieRKLN:	Yeah.

Question:	Your first two albums sound quite similar. Will your next be a
different stylistically and instrumentally? Not that you have any lack of fans right now, but
that could expand your audience!

HootieRKLN:	We're only going to play half bluegrass and half "Shaft"...

HootieRKLN:	No, really, we have no idea where will be progress to from here.
If you were to think about where you wanted to be, it would then be contrived
