The USCC NEWS is the Journal of the Club. It is published four times each year and a subscription is included with membership dues. Each issue of the NEWS contains articles and illustrations relating to obliterators found on 19th century United States stamps and covers. Roger Curran is the Editor.

The NEWS is published in convenient 8-1/2 x 11 format and each issue normally contains 16 pages of news, articles, opinions, feedback, questions, comments, a Member Bulletin Board for free ads and announcements of future shows and USCC events.

    In 2001 the USCC produced a Special 50th Anniversary Issue of the NEWS which included selected articles from the first 50 years. The Special Issue was supplemented by color images of the stamps and covers pertinent to the articles. Images included the carved cancels of postal clerk Harry Nickels of Ann Arbor, Michigan and rare "Letter In Wreath" cancels.

    Roger Curran, the Editor, is always looking for articles for publication in the NEWS. If you have any ideas or information relating to information on US cancellations, please contact Roger at the address noted below. As Editor, Roger is able and willing to help you take raw data and transform it into an artcle that will be enjoyed by many people. Please consider submitting material to Roger. Please Note: You do not have to be a Member of the USCC to submit articles for publication. However, you will be given credit for your work.

    • Issues prior to 1998 are available at $US 2.00 while issues from 1998 through May 2008 are available at $US 3.00. Issues from August 2008 are available at $US 6.00. All prices are postpaid in the United States. A 10% discount is available for orders of 25 or more issues. There is an additional charge of $US 2.00 for international first class mailings of the NEWS.
