1.
And so it goes.
This game of keeping our affair.
And so it goes.
The proper quilt that lying sews
To hide the secret none should share.
All view this cover, made with care.
And so it goes.

2.
Like a child, who holds a Christmas gift
With bated breath, and trembling hands,
And shining eyes that glow with radiant joy,
I, slowly, unfold your gift
Drawing out the pleasure.

3.
Everything else is undone when I lie by your side.
All of the heartache and worries that tangle the night
Are unravelled, like silken red ribbons in knots tightly tied
Until you take hold of one end and with magic, do right
All the wrongs that have bound me inactive with fears.

4.
This moment is my life discrete
From petty matters of theEarth.
Your love removes from me all dearth:
Without a care, enough to eat,
Purring, curled, warm heart and feet,
As a cat upon the hearth.
This moment is my life discrete
From petty matters of the Earth.
Within your arms, delicious heat
Does bring me to the feline mirth
Content with you, unerring worth.
This puzzle piece makes me complete,
This moment is my life, discrete.

5.
Sweetly does your memory cling, as vines do
To the brick that captures the space within me.
And, as rock is pulverized from the vine's grasp,
Memory frees me.

6.
Silent as a thought
Attracting notice from my lover's heart
The horn sends out its call

7.
Beware! My feelings I must chain for fear
Of loosing spirits never again to rein
And as a box Pandora held, I dare
To trust that curiosity won't gain
The upper hand, and free the horrid beasts
That lurk within this box and in my breast,
For fearful terror would result at least
If all these dervishes weren't laid to rest.
This tumult of emotion must remain
Tightly locked behind my clear blue eyes.
Let none know what's in my heart so plain.
Let none guess of where my passion lies.

8.
You vitalize my soul, as God, and pull
Stars through, and leave Heaven's dust to sow
The oyster lining of my mind, and cull
For me the priceless pearls that grow.
You vitalize my art, for as a bow
Is primed and singing when the string is drawn,
So am I brought toward tense release, and know
You shoot my words to glorify the dawn.
You vitalize my life, I am a pawn.
And you to back-row freedom have me moved.
A queen, as Alice on her chessboard lawn,
You make me. All your magic powers proved.
With utter reverence, I do dedicate
This poem which is quite inadequate.

9.
Flesh to flesh, and bringing hips with hips
Together makes our nakedness entwined.
Sensual pleasure heavenly refined
With sinful, passioned joining of our lips.
Alex, love, I glory in your touch
Preferring you to any robed sheik.
Reposing in your arms, I cannot speak.
Simply left with Being is too much.
The jug of wine and loaf of bread I see
Are staples of abundant life, but you
Are in the air I breathe, the warmth I feel.
And when your love, serene, envelops me,
You satisfy my hungry soul all through:
You fill my cup, and make my hedon's meal.

10.

So let us run, we should not start to linger
Let us praise your gift and play the singer.
Embrace our love, and feel the joissance.
So, without you, who would be the bringer?
