Zurich Lord Shiva temple

Location:

Zurich is one of the major cities of Switzerland. It is located in the northern part of the country.

How to go:

From the Main Railway Station (Haupt Bahnhof) tram number 11 towards Oerlikon. Get down at Bucheggplatz. It is the third stop from there in bus number 74. The temple is in the building very back of the opposite direction (towards Bucheggplatz) bus stop. It is in the first floor of the building.

Description:

The temple is in the first floor of a building. It is a small temple in size but maintained well. In the Garba Griha(Sanctum Sanctorum ) behind the Shiva Lingam, Nataraja and Shakthi are there. There are two Nandhis in front of the Lord. By the side of the main sannidhi Nava Graha sannidhi is also there.

Temple timings:

The temple is open on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays from 7.00 p.m. to 9.00 p.m. The temple will be open on the other important festival days also. On Fridays and festival days the temple will be open for more time. In the month of Maarkazi(Mid December - mid January) the temple will be open in the morning also.

The temple is maintained by "Ulakath Saivath Thamiz Sangam". They are conducting exams on ThirumuRai and competitions for the children in Switzerland annually, publish and distribute information on Vrathaas and other Saivism related infromation.
