- As of July 16, this is my favorite movie of the year. Nothing about it will sound appealing -- it is three hours long, and it is a family epic about successive generations of
Hungarians --
but trust me, this is the movie to see. With any luck, next March we will be hearing the magic words, "And the Oscar goes to...Ralph Fiennes!"
