This picture was donated by Janice Pfluge I am going to quote her letter to me. " I do know this was the last year school was taught at Streit school before it was closed, but don't know any history associated with it."
"When I went there in the third and fourth grades, it was the job of the oldest boy to come a little early and start the fire in the stove on cold days. Once in ahile I would see a horse tied outside and thought that must be the most wonderful way to come to school. I don't remember what student rode the horse, though."
"Before the school closed, they built a brand new outhouse for us. It had a boy's side and a girl's side."
