Tip 1

Lite Scratch's

One of the best way's I have found is useing a padding lacquer.

Clean the surface with mineral spirits.

This will clean off the surface so the padding lacquer will adhear better.

You will need a soft cloth.

Fold the corners untill you can make a tight ball out of the center.

Apply the padding lacquer to the pad and tap it into the palm of your hand.

This will spread it thru the pad.

Lightly pad in the direction of the grain.

Don't pad to many times, it will dull the finish.

Let dry for a couple minute's and reapply if needed untill the surface is level.

This will have a high gloss finish, You may have to pad the whole surface, or you can cut the sheen with wool lube and a fine sandpaper.

If you use wool lube be careful not to go thru the finish.

Clean and let it dry often, to see how far you are going.

It doesn't take much sanding to knock down the finish.
