Notes from Pastor/Leader informational brunch
March 15, 1997

Meeting started 10:35AM. Barb Herzog, Toledo's 1996 March for Jesus Coordinator, expressed gratitude for privilege of working past three years in service to MFJ efforts and introduced Michael Saylor as new MFJ coordinator for 1997. Michael Saylor recognized Barb's productive efforts and the advantage realized in a strong, well-maintained and coordinated team she leaves in place. Many names of team members mentioned. Pastor steering committee recognized. Bakers of brunch meal mentioned. Requests were made for churches to encourage each other to participate and support the March's publicity and financial needs. Tips for sound-van generator and speaker out-fitting were shared. The provision of a trolley for immobile participants was affirmed. March 22nd was announced as the MFJ Kick-Off weekend in which information and MFJ products for sale will be placed in area Christian Book Stores and radio stations will start publicizing the March. A spit-route to ease congestion was announced. The Toledo MFJ will start from International Park in downtown Toledo at 10:00AM after the 9:00AM Assembly for Prayer. Prayer Rally with a citywide community choir will be held at 11:30AM and dismissal is scheduled for 12:30PM. March proceeds rain or shine. Other details regarding rehearsal scheduling, prayer needs, prayer gatherings, prayer teams, prayerwalking, prayer meetings, sound vans, MFJ products for sale, choir rehearals, marcher's code of conduct, etc. were distributed in booklet form to attendees. National Day of Prayer County Coordinator Rev. Robert Cunningham was introduced to ask for prayerful support of May 1st meeting from 12:00 to 1:00PM at the Lucas County Court House. Promise Keepers, Dawn Strategy and Joyful Journey literature was passed out and/or mentioned in the interest of making attendees aware of fellowshipping/service opportunities to the Church beyond walls. A one half-hour video of Toledo '97 MFJ high-lights produced by Detroit's XYZ television station was shown.
