Objection to Premise 3

Objection 1: "You seem to speak gibberish; only God knows what you speak about here."
Reply 1: Some have this difficulty because they think this must be very deep, but it is very ordinary. If you wish, I will define terms. First, some diagrams to illustrate (thanks to Thomas' Christian Philosophy Page):

"The past" means the whole length of time which precedes the present. It is the totality of written and unwritten history. A "length of time" is a minute, a decade, two millenia, or the like. We can imagine an infinite amount of time. Think of a timeline drawn to represent the past, present and future: a length of time is a piece of that timeline.
"The present" is the moment of time which exists right now.
"The future" is time yet to come.
So the amount of time contained in the past is either infinite or finite.
