There are online columnists, with topics of interest changing monthly---when Ghatten stopped in one of the featured topics was therapuetic massage. Ghatten was intrigued by the interesting and probably controversial portrayal of using this alternative therapy to "heal" sick animal friends.
For interacting with persons who share your love of animal companions, there are also links to online pet groups and a on-site bulletin board, where you can ask questions of a staff vet(for whom they also offer an email address!!) or share info/ideas with other cat and dog lovers.
And if health concerns and pet care tips are what you need there is an extensive searchable selection of information called VetPedia that has a lot of answers to questions about health care, pet behavior and breeding/showing. Helpful and not to overtly commercial, Petpath is now one of my favorites!
