Math Characters

The following scheme to display math characters in HTML pages requires the symbol and cmsy5.ttf fonts.

To load True-type fonts onto your Windows machine, go to the Lycos FTP search page and search for cmsy5.ttf. Download one of the choices to the font subdirectory under your Windows directory. You may need to do the same thing with the symbol font if it isn't already on your system.
