Sun
by Tandi B.

The sun smells like
the burning of hot lava
from an exploding volcano.

It looks like the darkness
of a smiley face.

Well, nobody knows
what the sun feels like,
but I think it would feel
as hot as scalding water.

I think the sun would sound like
running water from a dam.

Sun
by Randell S.

Star? Yes.
The sun is a star--
bright and unusually full of fire
with no end to
its fiery light.

A Dark Day
by Nick M.

Some people say unusual things happen--
not good things, not bad things, yet weird things--
when the Day is as long as the Night.
At noon it cast a shadow,
but yet it's unusual.

A Sunny Day
by Terry C.

A sunny day that you look for
in the winter and summer.
It's hot; then you look for
the coolness at night and morning.
Or, hot and you want to go swimming,
and it's bright and shining.

The Sun
by Russell H.

The sun is hot, never cold.
The sun gives light, never darkness.
The sun is big. . .but not the biggest.
The sun is a star--the very hot gasses.

Hot Sun
by Ronnie H.

Hot Sun, you're hot.
Nothing is hotter,
not even the Volcano.
You're so hot, you can
give me a tan.

Shine
by Shelby H.

The sun shines everyday
and people go out
and play. The day
gets hot. Just let
the shine stop.

The Sun
by Derrik R.

It blinds people.
It is cool, it is bright, it is hot.
It is in space--can't touch things, melts things, gives a tan.
Solar energy. Flames. Eruptions.
Star. Waves. Rays.
Closer than any star.
Lite. Orbits.

The Sun
by Felicia T.

Hot--burns you.
Shiney--makes you see nothing for a little bit.
It's big, yellow, orange, bright, far away.
Radiates--gives a tan.
Solar energy, volcanic star, out of space, ray.
Close to us, provides light.
Orbit.

The Sun
by Delia B.

Enjoyable, hot
The sun is shining brightly
Friendly, sunny, fun
