Macedonia
Macedonia is a region in the Balcans, where different
peoples have lived during centuries. Geographically, we may
say that Macedonia proper is now divided between Greece and
the independent state of Macedonia. The term is now a
question for disputes. Greece claims that Macedonia is a
fully Greek term, and does not recognise to any other
entity, people or culture the right to that name. But it is
undeniable fact that there is a nation, a people and a
language that uses the name Macedonia and lives there: these
are the slavic-speaking Macedonians. The self-designation of
this nation seems like a threat to Greece, who does not
admit it. The independent Macedonia is
simply called Skopje (for its capital), and the people are
labelled Skopians. It is as if Belgium tried to forbid their
self-designation to Luxenburgians, because there is a
Belgian province also called Luxembourg.

Mazedonia
Mazedonia Balkanetako eskualde bat da. Geografikoki, bi
partetan banatzen da oro har: Mazedonia independentea bera,
