Membership Information in the Pagan Awareness League

We are currently looking for dedicated people who truly want to make a difference. If you think this is you, read on and see.

1. The PAL will become a fully operational educational and political entity.

For too long the Pagan community has hidden under a veil of silence and mystery. It's time to stop complaining about how things should be, and work towards a solution. Education involves the continued dispelling of myths, rumors, and general misinformation portrayed by the media and other outlets.
As for involvement with politics, we believe for too long the Christian Right has had a firm hold on the political arena. It's time that we as a people inform our brethren of who and what people stand for.

2. We will keep up-to-date and informative state websites.

The PAL website continues to grow. Your monthly reports may go to develop new or updated information for the sites.

3. We will keep informational and active listservs.

The PAL Listserv keeps PAL members in constant communication with each other on issues we need to know about.

4. We will be a force in Awareness of the Pagan faith.

Our focus is to be in touch and on the cutting edge of happenings around the world. Many issues that will be dealt with will be neither pretty or politically correct at times. Reality can be a bitter pill to swallow.

5. We will be a voice in the Political arena.

Once again we focus on the need to be more of a singular voice in society. The Religious Right is comprised of well financed and very outgoing organizations. Many intolerance-based organizations have outlets of misinformation which must be pointed out and in many cases reported or abolished completely. The tasks set forth will not be simple, but a difficult and long road.

6. We will be actively searching and promoting Pagan services.

We will search for Pagan-friendly lawyers, businesses, and political entities. This really needs no comment, except that devoted people are required for this project to succeed. There will be a section of the website devoted to listing these services.

7. We will have a active membership that has strong devoted ties to the Pagan community.

This is one of our most important goals. As a general rule, people who are personally affected by something work harder to monitor and influence change when needed. We need only those who feel that the Pagan Movement is a personal responsibility.

8. We will require that our members devote at least 10 hrs a month to the Pagan Awareness League and Church of the Dancing Flame.

Too many of our previous members have neglected to respond to the charge that the PAL have begged for. We will only accept those who are willing to make this commitment to our organization. You know yourselves better than anyone. I am sure if you look into your hearts, you will find one issue that you personally can sink your teeth into for a simple 10 hours a month.

9. We will actively pursue economic ventures to garner resources.

In the past the PAL has depended on Membership dues to fund this organization; we will no longer follow this path. Many outlets have and will be used in the future to supply this organization with the funds it needs, to promote the changes mentioned here.

10. We will make a MARK on today's society!

This is the easiest goal to understand, yet the hardest to achieve.
