Hi everyone! I am putting this special post up here. I got this mail today. It is not from one of our club members but I feel that this person needs our help. I know you will all understand why I am posting it here. I guess we all know how terrible it is to lose one's pets and not know where they are. So please if there is any way you can help or if you know what she can do please do help. Thanks!

"Hi, I don't know if you are able to help me find my lost cat. I have had him since he was a kitten. His name is Mitzer and he is grey and white. He is approximately 20 lbs. He was lost on April 23rd in Homosassa Florida. At that time he should have had his collar which is white with rhinestones. The address on the tag (our old one) read 3500 Washington St. Hollywood Florida."

"Please let me know how I can go about advertising his loss on the net and make him return home safely."

I've tried a leash on my Guinea Pig and let me tell you I've never seen him run so fast. He hated it. I got my Guinea Pig from petland. However, I was not his first owner. So I don't know if he was sick.

I'm a new member and I'm 14 years old. I have 7 dogs, 6 of which are full blood Labrador Retrievers, and 1 mut, and 3 cats, 1 of which just had kittens, so I guess if you count them its 5 cats. My family raises Labs, and I always find it very hard to sell the last one. I work at a vet clinic doing just about anything the doctors ask me to do, and I love it. They have a cat adoption room and I keep wanting to take one or two of them home. :) I'll probably never run out of things to post. signing off, Ami.

Following the trend, I am Sam and also love animals. My favorite is Fox Terriers, two in particular. I have owned a number of pure and mixed breeds, but have found the Smooth and Toy Fox Terriers to be my picks. I also an very fond of goats, cats, frogs, turtles, birds, hedgehogs, beavers, well, just about any animal

Hello everyone...I have noticed that new members have been posting their status here on the bulletin board, so I thought that I would continue the trend. My name is Hiromi, but all my friends really do call me 'Romi and I absolutely adore animals. Thanks to Penny, I found out about this club. I don't own as many animals as she does o9 , but I am a pre-veterinary student at North Carolina State University, and my animal interests are varied. I have worked with large animals (cattle, sheep, goats, llamas, ostriches, horses), small animals (cats, dogs, hamsters, rabbits, fish, birds), exotics (snakes, iguanas, hedgehogs, chinchillas, newts), and wild animals (lions, tigers, squirrels, ducks, sea-turtles, dolphins). I truly have been blessed by ALL the animals that I have met through my various extra-curricular activities and my jobs. I hope that I can add some helpful insight to some of the conversations in here and learn a lot more about animals.

Louisiana is one of the couple of states that still allow cockfighting. Because Louisiana is so dependent on tourism, it would be a great help if people would write to the Governor, Mike Foster, at the State Capitol, Baton Rouge, LA 70802, and tell him that you would never think of visiting a state that allows such a barbaric event to occur. Thanks.

Susan: I tried a leash on my guinea pigs. It was a horrible experience. None of my piggies accepted the idea of a harness being on their bodies. They all squeaked and squirmed around. I took the leash back and bought them each something to make up for the awful experience that I put them through

Twilight13, I've seen leashes for guinea pigs being sold, but I've never used them for my guinea pigs. I don't know if I want to put one on a squirmy pig. Mine get to run in their corral once a day for exercise.

Lisa, Pet stores can be terrible place to buy a guinea pig. I've heard several stories about the conditions guinea pigs and other animals are kept under. Some stores are just more interested in selling guinea pigs, than their welfare. And this can leave the owner with a sick or dead guinea pig. If anyone want to get a guinea pig, I suggest buying from a breeder or getting one from a friend or neighbor.

If anyone is interested in getting a guinea pig I have come up with a guide for what to look for. It's here: http://www.oocities.org/Heartland/6011/info.html#info_six
