Lady Eagle spikers advance to finals

Smith's varsity volleyball team continued its impressive play of late by defeating Western Guilford in three games Wednesday night in the semifinals of the Piedmont Triad 3-A Tournament at Southwest.

The victory sets up a championship match with top-seeded Southwest Guilford tonight at 7 o'clock at Southwest.

BLS (11-7) started quickly Wednesday and defeated Western 15-5, 15-9, 15-10.

Smith has already qualified for the 3-A playoffs.
