Once upon a time, in a land where cowpokes ran free, a moody young girl set forth on a mission. It was a mission to seek out those who, like her, were infatuated with the instability and diversity of emotion. Those that were eventually found out and summoned by the young girl, a grand total of six people, were then ceremoniously bound in an unbreakable, infallible ring.
Outsiders observing the activity of the ring, some infuriated by what they saw, came about to referring to it as "The MoodRing."
From the very beginning, members of The MoodRing were not bound by common trusts but rather by diversidty. Members supported eachother in their ventures and explored what it meant to be an individual while dealing with the interests of others. They did not live in harmony, however. As all births are violent, so was that of The MoodRing. Outburst within the group was common and arguements frequent. Violent clashes between members left them stuck together permanently in a brother/sisterly love...and that is what formed what is known as the present day MoodRing.
Now, unlike in the yesteryear, the requirement for joining The MoodRing is that one has something to add to the diversity of the ring, yet can stand on their own as an individual. And now, instead of being sought out, membership is as easy as a filling out a form or two.
And so goes the history of The MoodRing...
