Since I'm not sure when I last email you all, I'll warn you -- if you
opened an attatchment to any of my emails recently entitled Happy99.exe,
and saw a picture of fireworks on your screen -- I'm sorry. My computer
had a virus and I had no idea -- now anyone you've mailed since opening
that file will be recieving the same thing. If you're having probs w/
this, visit; On another note -- the show at the Georgia Theatre on the 16th of April has been moved to April 19th and at the Fabulous 40 Watt...yes, that IS a Monday night, so I understand if no one can come down, as I was originally hoping (I was wanting to have a bunch of former-O.U. folks visit). Don't worry -- it will be taped, so that'll be available at least. As soon as we get a certain check in the mail from someone who will as of yet remain un-named, we will set a 2nd date for continuing to record the album formerly known as Earnestly I, now being refered to as Falling on Deaf Ears. The label, Ionic Records, hopes for us to have it finished by October so they can release it for the Christmas season. I still haven't seen the contract though, but they claim lawyers are working on it. Also, in similar news, it looks as though Tobin Hines, musician and folk artist, will be designing the album cover to A Rose Once Grew, the re-mastered re-release of Autumn Song and Sod Pottage. He's also responsible for the art in the book Perishable Goods by Bill Mallonee (a rare, and expensive collectors item), and for the album covers of Vigilantes of Love's c.d.'s Slow Dark Train and To the Roof of the Sky. He's a very talented man, and a good friend. So, in other news -- I've recently started John Sailhamer's book "An Introduction to Old Testament Theology", and so far it's GREAT! Also, I've picked up and read a few of the chapters from "Mere Creation; Science, Faith, and Intelligent Design" edited by William Dembski -- it is the transcripts from a conference based on creating a new paradigm from which to study science; instead of naturalism, intelligent design. It was inspired by the recent ground-breaking book, Darwin's Black Box by Micheal Behe, and not only does Behe contribute a chapter, but also William Dembski, Philip Johnson, J.P. Moreland, William Lane Craig, Hugh Ross...etc and so on. They deal with these issues from mathematics, mechanical engineering, philosophy, physical anthropology, physics, astrophysics, biology, ecology and even evolutionary biology...it's a mind-boggling work, and something of the upmost importance to the current state of science. I hope you can look into it. Well... I pray that all is well.... |
