6/6/99 - Subject: Just a general "hello"...

Howdy everyone...
I just wanted to drop everyone a line to say "hello"

"Hello"

Pretty good, huh? Well, I've been practicing.

What's been going on in my life, you ask? Well, apart from co-leading a Philippians summer study for W.D.A., working full-time for the U.G.A. Sci-Lib, leading a doctrinal discussion group, teaching Senior High Sunday School, being too poor to continue with my newest c.d., working through details of a recording contract, looking forward to Cornerstone (where I'll be V.o.L.'s guitar tech - how cool), doing TONS of research and writing on my apologetics book (I'm VERY pleased at how productive this have been)...apart from that, I've been fairly bored. Where I've found the time to attain a state of boredom is the subject of many a fairy tail (in other words, I'm full of crap -- I've not tasted boredom in quite some time, and I'm quite happy about it). So, anyway -- things is way good -- just dandy!

Things to listen to; "Amatuer Shortwave Radio" - Over the Rhine... I hear that this is being sold in Best Buys not...GET IT!

Things to read; I've just fallen for a new author -- N.T. Wright... he's GREAT. I've just read "The Meaning of Jesus: Two Visions", "The Original Jesus" (a great book that encourages scholarship but not theological liberalism), and am finishing up "The New Testament and the People of God." Other books that I've recently finished an advise are; "the Foundations of Dialogue in Science and Religion" by Alister McGrath, and "the Case for Christ" by Lee Strobel (fun and easy read). A book the more philosophical of you, which I've not yet read but anticipate buying as soon as I can afford it; "The Possibility of Resurrection and Other Essays in Christian Apologetics" by Peter Van Inwagen -- I've heard that it is HARD CORE!

Anyway -- I just wanted to say hello...

I pray that all of you are well...
many blessings...
amen,
