Michael J. Loftus
Michael J. Loftus, 78 of 80 Walnut Street, a retired city employee, died
Saturday at a local hospital following a long illness. An employee of the
Lynn Street Department until his retirement 15 years ago, he was born in
County Mayo, Ireland, and resided in Lynn 60 years. He is survived by two
brothers, Anthony Loftus of Cambridge, and Dominic Loftus of Kansas:
five sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Jones of Cambridge, Mrs. Mary Lincoln of
Hingham, Mrs. Ann Granahan of Allson, Mrs. Barbara Landry of
Somerville, and Mrs. Margaret Tombeno of Lynn. The funeral will be held
from the Garret J. Walls Funeral Home, 103 Johnson Street, tomorrow at
8:15 AM, followed by a Solemn Requiem Mass in Sacred Heart Church at
9 AM.

87 and Walnut Street.
