"A Message from the Spirit to Every Pastor"

January -February 1997

The Antichrist doesn't want you to know that he is here!

Why are so many of God's people looking for the "Antichrist" to come in the future? The writers of the New Testament spoke of a spirit that had already come, and was perverting the right way of Christ even in their day: "...even now there are many antichrists" (1Jn.2:18). The word "Antichrist" does not appear in the book of Revelation. The reason is simple. Revelation deals with future events; but "Antichrist" is a present reality. Yes, Revelation speaks of "the beast", and "the false prophet". . . but these future persons who will have great influence on this earth are not Antichrist. Antichrist is HERE, and God has to open our eyes that we may see him. He must be "revealed", as the apostle Paul said:"Let no man deceive you by any means. For that day shall not come except there come a great falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped, so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God." (2Thes.2:3-4). Paul asserts that before our Lord's return there must be a "falling away" from the faith, and a revealing of that "man of sin" - the Antichrist. This "falling away" is not a denial of faith, for that would deceive no one; but is rather a corruption of true faith in favor of Satan's "re-defined" faith. Satan encourages men to serve Jesus, but he "re-defines" what serving Jesus means! And what you are reading now is a part of that "revealing", that you might help God's people everywhere.

The Spirit that Confesses Christ

"Hereby know ye the Spirit of God. Every SPIRIT (not every person!) that confesses that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God. And every SPIRIT that confesses not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of Antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come, and even now already is it in the world" (1Jn.4:2-3).The Spirit of God is not a "dumb" spirit (1Cor.12:3). It speaks (in tongues) through the person when it enters. "When the comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, HE shall testify of me. And ye also shall bear witness" (Jn.15:26-27). This is exactly what happened to Jesus' disciples on the day of Pentecost. They received the holy Ghost and began to testify in tongues "as the Spirit gave them utterance". When the real Spirit of God comes in, you "hear the sound" of the Spirit every time (John 3:1-8). Any spirit that fails to meet the Lord's condition of "audible confession" when it enters, is not the holy Spirit. God does not receive man's "profession" alone. A speechless spirit is Satan's "substitute": the spirit of Antichrist ("anti" means "instead of" in first century Greek). The spirit of Antichrist denies that speaking in tongues is the sign of receiving the holy Ghost, because that essential truth exposes him as a powerless fraud. Instead, he persuades men that a person can receive the Spirit of God before being baptized with it. In this way Antichrist is "worshipped" by millions who are persuaded by Satan's ministers that they already have the true Spirit of God, even though they have never spoken in tongues.

Sitting in the Temple

In this New Covenant, believers are the "temple of God" because the Spirit of God is in them (1Cor.3:16). Paul taught that the Antichrist was "in the temple of God, declaring himself to be God". The "mystery of iniquity" (which was already working in Paul's day) is that the spirit of Antichrist will actually inhabit God's temple, together with the holy Spirit. This abomination manifests itself every time that a Spirit-baptized person teaches others that they are born again prior to the Spirit's baptism. In other words, the spirit of Antichrist is the one who inspires those who speak in tongues to tell others that the baptism which Jesus died for is not necessary. We know that God's Spirit is dealing with every person who has begun to follow Jesus. But the Spirit is not in a person until "the spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God" (Rom.8:16). Religion that names Jesus without the evidence of God's Spirit is nothing more than appearance. It does not impress God at all, though it may impress men: "Ye are they which justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God" (Luke 16:15).

Antichrist's Form of Worship...

Pastor, we can do the kingdom of God no good at all while tolerating the spirit of Antichrist in our midst. He must be "revealed", and then "rejected". The spirit of Antichrist has seduced many to settle for his carnal "instead-of-Christ" ceremonies in place of the only worship which God now receives: in Spirit and in truth! As long as we are under Antichrist's influence we will settle for merely "baptizing people in water" instead of Jesus baptizing them with his holy Spirit. We will settle for "signing up church members" instead of Jesus baptizing them by the Spirit into the body of Christ. We will settle for "telling people they are already saved", instead of preparing the saints for Jesus Christ to judge and then save them when he returns. We will settle for "serving a communion of bread and wine" instead of having a heavenly communion amongst ourselves in the Spirit. And as long as we perform these things (and many others like them) in the flesh, Antichrist is happy, while the church remains divided and desolate. We understand the ramifications of what we have written. It is almost frightening. But the position the church finds itself in is a drastic and desperate one. If we are to "escape" the delusions to come (read 2Thes.2:11), drastic measures must be taken by the church's leaders now. We pray you are among those who have just had truth "revealed" to them. We would like to send you our "Sampler Tract Packet" consisting of 20 gospel tracts and a cassette tape . It is free to all calling or writing. These materials make excellent Bible Study helps, and food for the hungry saints of God. Call to receive yours today: 1-800-9-"AMEN 58".
