Is your Email Address Correct?
Okay, now how can anyone contact you if you don't leave an email address or type it in correctly?

If you have wandered into the Alumni Room at Sunset lately, you will notice that the trophies have been rearranged.  Yep, it was me.  I put photo's  and yearbooks into the cases.  Each shelf has a graduating year on it and their trophies.  Three trophy cases are missing keys to the locks and I couldn't get into to them to arrange them.
Is there someone out there who can repair the doors on the cases that are caving in?

Hi all,
Final note.  My computer is acting up on me and I have had to send this page up from one of the computers in the Sunset hs computer room.  If you have to send me information or such, please use the Sunset email address.  thanks....
II'stix
I'm glad you had a chance to check out II'stix.  II'stix is a 20 something lifestyle magazine about but not limited to Asian American experience and more.

I started II'stix little over months ago but I have been working on it for past 6 months. I started II'stix by myself at first but since then I've solicited help of others. Among them are my buddies from Sunset like Chris Tsubamoto (90), Dennis "Woody" Morrison (90), and Mike Van Kleek (90). Chris and Woody writes, edits, and promotes the site and has been a big part of II'stix. I'm also waiting for future submissions from Mike as well.

As for me, I'm from the class of 89. I  graduated from San Jose State with degree in Graphic Design in 94 and I've been doing Graphic Design /Illustration ever since. I've been working on few different projects such as my own comic book called Grimm, illustrating for Dread and Alive series (www.zoolook.com), graphic designing for Mervyn's, Safeway, and Lewis & Partners. But my current passion is with II'stix which I have high hopes for.

Right now II'six is a web-zine but I plan on going into print sometime next year. So with that said, I hope everyone checks out http://www.iistix.com

Thanks,

Subject:    My search has ended!

Hi, Becky!
I apologize that it has been so long since my last update. I told you that my husband, Steve, and I were planning a trip out to California in September.   Well....we went and it was awesome!!  I met my half-sister (from my birthmom's second marriage), Katrina, and her two daughters, and my birthmom's first husband, Dennis Gillam, and ALL of my birthfather's family, the Salas's.  I have a grandmother, and 5 aunts and uncles and so many cousins, I'm not sure I have them all straight yet!   It is almost beyond description the feeling of finally knowing my heritage and to be able to see where certain traits have come from in me and in my five children!

I want to thank you again, and again, for posting my message on your website.   It was through this site that I was able to connect with the Salas Family!   I now also have three new friends that I am staying in touch with because of this site - Judy, Dorene, and Liz!   It is all truly incredible!!

Can I send you a picture or two from our trip, if I get them scanned?  I would love to share them with you.   Keep up the good work on your website!   If you can, keep my message around for a while, and if anyone sees it that knew Vikki Downey (my birthmom) or her sisters, Denise and Bonita (a/k/a "Tammy"s) or any of the Salas's, Randy, GeeGee, Kathy, Sonny, (all who are deceased) or the younger ones, Frank, Ronnie, Cindy, or Victoria, please let me know!   Since both my birthparents are gone, I love hearing stories from those who knew them to help me to know them better!

Thank you - from the bottom of my heart!   God Bless you. Amanda

New & Updated Pages on the Site
Happy Holidays to you all!!
There have been few new pages and links added to the site.  Scroll down the index page and you will find links to more notable alumni.
New Items:
  • A new guestbook has gone up expressely for the purpose of Leaving messages to "Find" lost friends, class rings, block letter sweaters, etc. You can also report the loss of a friend or family member...I'll leave it to your discretion as what you want to say.
  • Don't forget we have a general guestbook too.
  • I have taken all the messages recieved from Amanda Banks and created a page for her. Amanda was given up at birth and today she has tracked down her family through this site.
  • A Discussion Mailing List has been created and is available on the Reunion Planning Page.  The purpose of this new mailing list is to open a discussion up regarding the development of class reunion parties.  It's a good idea to exchange ideas with others who are in the process of planning reunions.  And if you want to post anything else...  (Remember, be nice - - NO FLAMING!)
  • As you saw at the beginning of the page, I have also created a "Announcement" mailing list.  Please join it and it will be used to Announce Updates & Special Annoucements for the site. I left all the questions on the page that come with the mailing list, fill in the ones you want or ignore the questions, just don't forget your name.
  •  Check out the Alumni Room page, I have added a few more images.  This will help those thinking of creating their own pages.  The  Alumni Page is a work in progress, so not everything may be in place.
Don't forget to give during the holidays, there are those who are less fortunate then ourselves and need a helping hand.

The following is a editorial letter written by Peggy Allardyce to the Daily Review, October 2, 1998.

A Plea for Abandoned Cats
I was advised to write to you by several agencies involved with rescuing abandoned cats, as a last resort.  I have been feeding some cats behind K-Mart and McDonald's on Mission Blvd. in Hayward for about eight month.  I have reported the situation to both businesses several times to try to receive some help in trapping them and getting them homes.  They are aware of the situation but never follow through with help.
I am disabled and in so much pain I cannot continue going.  Besides, the cost of food is too much for my limited budget.  I was told to bring this to the attention of the media.  This is my last week I can help them.  I have already caught several and rescued them.  If the businesses see this, maybe they will act finally.  Or maybe some dear reader will offer to help me take over the job of feeding them.

Please let me know if you would like to help Peggy by mailing me and I will pass along your phone number to her.
Peggy was a nurse and suffered severe back injuries picking up patients.

Obit Update:
I received message that Danny Parker, '69 passed on in June '98.
Informed that Celia Metoyer and Cheryl Hulbert were in the class of '72.

- - - Extra - - - Trish Eye ('70)
has found love, is getting married to Alvaro and moving to the Netherlands.  It must be soon as her email address is no longer valid.  I hope when she settles in, she comes back on line and visits the site.  If you would like to see a photo of Alvaro and Trish's current statement, click  here
We all wish her well and happiness in her new life.
ps. Trish has a special message for Don.

pps. Trish created the 1970's site and I received the following message:
As the web master for the page

I thought you would like to know that your page has been added to my "cool links list" at www.oocities.org/SouthBeach/Inlet/8693/List283.html

Subject: Raul Hernandez
I'm trying to locate some information on a Raul Hernandez who went to Sunset High School  back in the early 60's. He recently passed away and I am trying to find out for his children where his ashes were placed after his death.  They were not able to attend his services and would like to pay there respects. If ANYONE could  help with this information I would greatly appreciate if you could e-mail me at   ddawgs4@ix.netcom.com
(Do you know where  Raul Hernandez is?)

Hi! I've set up a web site dedicated to the Class of '90 on my own domain, at http://www.mvk.net/shs. This way, we'll be able to have a guestbook and other scripts, and update much more quickly as we plan our reunion.
I've included several links back to your site for more general SHS info.
Can you please link to the Class of '90 site?
Thanks!-
Michael Van Kleeck
Class President
(It's with great pleasure that I link back to Mike's Class of '90's site.  If you are creating a site for your graduating class, I will happily link to it.  Added note:  The class pages I have created will be moved to this site in the future.  Not sure when....)

Lesley Kim ('88) is the proud creator of the 1988 Class Site.  Pay a visit and let her know what you think.
I'm more then happy to give up any claims to class pages.  I know the pages I created  are so generic.
Are you up to the task of creating your class page?  I'll happily link and advertise.

K.I.S.S. will be implemented on the Sunset site

  • The Alumni Link's Page is gone. All links are under the person's name in the Email Directory.
  • Class page links also can be found on the Email Directory page.  The year above the graduating class is active and will lead you to a class page.
  • Please be advised that the table at the bottom  of the class page may not lead you where you want to go.  I am currently working on them.

California Elections on November 3, 1998 Don't forget to vote!  Your future depends on it!

As you know I don't normally make recommendations regarding elected officials or propositions, this year is the exception.

- FYI -
Simon Flores ('69)  is running for the New Haven School Board (Union City) again.

Shirley Quon ('71) worked at the Southland Polling Place for the June Primary.   Shirley has a 14 yr. old daughter.  Hope to see Shirley when I vote in November and talk to her more.

I'm one of those people like Peggy Allardyce ('71) who come to the defense of animals.  I know, I know, why not defend the children, well there are many organizations that protect children's right's but few who speak up for those who can't defend themselves.

You can click on the Proposition number and read both sides of the issue or  visit the Voter Information Guide  on the  California Secretary of State - Official Home Page.   Here are my recommendations for:

Proposition 4, Trapping Practices.  Bans the Use of Specified Traps and Animal Poisons.
..."The TRUTH: Prop 4 is reasonable, moderate, and narrowly tailored.  It will stop inhumane, indiscriminate trapping.  It will protect wildlife and family pets.
Humane societies, environmentalists, wildlife biologists, and veterinarians agree:  VOTE "YES" ON 4!"

Proposition 6, Criminal Law.  Prohibition on Slaughter of Horses and Sale of Horsemeat for Human Consumption.  Initiative Statute.
A YES vote on this measure means:  Both the slaughter of horses for human consumption and the sale of horsemeat for human consumption would be  illegal in California.  In addition, horses could not be sent out of California for slaughter in other states or countries for human consumption.

Viet Nam has a problem with rodents eating the rice and grain and do you know why?  Because the Vietnamese like to eat cats.  Cats are a delicacy. .  Now the government is outlawing the eating of cats to try and control the rats.

Another aside, Taiwan treats it's dogs and cats in such a horrible manner that U.S. Veterinarians are in Taiwan helping to establish a Animal Control.  These people treat animals in such a horrible manner ( I saw film footage on MSNBC & I was sickened, but the mass drowning, electrocutions, compacting in their garbage facilities.  Our garbage is treated better then the way they treat animals.)

It is an established  fact that a person who mistreats animals is likely to abuse and kill later in life.

I'm reprinting a letter by Julie Machado ('76) regarding Measure HH.  I agree with Julie and I think you will too after you read her letter to the Daily Review dtd October  25, 1998.

In recent days, I've noticed numerous letters to the editor in support of Measure HH.  I can't  help but assume these letters are part of yet another well organized and well funded campaign fueled  by developers, as has happened so often in Hayward's past.
This time, the developers have a sympathetic "front" in the Historical Society, a church and a sports park.  However, the voters are smarter now, and I pray they will not allow this particular violation of open space.
I will be voting against Measure  HH because I don't believe it would be good for the community to endure 400 truck loads daily,  for 1½ years, of dirt dragged across town in order to fill these wetlands prior to building.  I don't believe future homeowners in this development would be pleased to endure regular threats of flooding, as well as constant over flights by large jets.
I believe that the portion of this site west of the railroad tracks (where the homes are planned) should instead be included in the adjacent Don Edwards San Francisco  Bay National Wildlife Refuge as permanent open space, as the Hayward Area Shoreline Planning Agency has supported for many years.
The church and the Historical Society will be able to reap their profits if they are a little patient, as there soon will be money available for mitigating the San Francisco and Oakland Airport expansions.  Wetlands are an important part of our ecological community, and only 10 percent of original wetlands are left in the whole Bay area.
I will be voting against Measure  HH, against this development and in support of open space, wetlands, the endangered California clapper rail and salt marsh harvest mouse, and wildlife habitat.
Julie Machado ('76)

Hayward is considered a Pacific Flyway.  Basically, we are a  sky way for migatory birds, such as the Canadian Snow Geese, Bats, etc.

(Below is  a message I received from Chuck Lee '62.  He sent photos, don't forget to take a peek at them.  Give him a write too.  I will get Chuck's bio on the class of '62's page....sooner or later.)
Hi!
My step dad called me today, to tell me about the Sunset HS web site.
I've been prowling around the site for the last half hour or so, have added a bookmark to my browser, and thought I'd send a message as well.

I've been living in Switzerland for the last 15 months, working for a Swiss manufacturer of land surveying instruments. After moving to Nevada, and before starting work with my current employer, I became a Registered Land Surveyor in Nevada. Since then, I've lived in Texas and Georgia. I figure maybe fifteen more years and I will have moved so far east of home, I'll be home again!

My job and related travels have taken me to all but one of the 48 contiguous states plus Hawaii, and Canada, Mexico, the Bahamas, Jamaica, Trinidad, Guiana, Sweden, England, Germany, Austria, Italy, France, Turkey, Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. In 1962, I never even conceived of travel much beyond the eleven western states and now I'm thinking about making a trip to Australia from here, mostly so I can say I have been all the way around the world!

I've attached a picture I took recently while on a day trip with some friends who were visiting me from the US... I thought you might enjoy using it on your web site. The castle (Neuschwanstein - means New Swan Stone, referring to the very white limestone used in its construction) is in Bavaria, and was being built by "Crazy" (allegedly) King Ludwig when the bodies of he and his doctor were found floating in a nearby lake. The official verdict was accidental death, but the controversy rages on more than 100 years later. The castle was opened to the public almost immediately after Ludwig's death, but work on it was never completed.

And, in a sudden fit of egomania (I guess), I've also attached a picture of myself - taken just a few months ago while visiting a friend in Georgia (his boat, my smile!)

Thanks for taking the time to put together the web site... I enjoyed browsing it.

    Regards
    Chuck Lee '62

  • The monthly  tables on this page will be added to the Old Page.
  • Yes, I will clean up the guestbook at the end of the year and probably add it to the earlier part of the year's guestbook.
  • Either Dec 31, 1998 or  Jan 1, 1999 a new guestbook will be in place.
  • All bio's or letter's will be placed on their prospective class page.
  • Starting Jan 11, 1999 I will be enrolled in the Chabot PACE program finishing my last 3 classes needed for my General Studies AA degree.
  • Effective with the start of the new year, I will be updating the site on a quarterly basis.
  • The tentative updates will be at the end of  March,  June,  Sept &  Dec.

Okay, I have a wish list for this site.

  • Individuals will create their graduating class page(s) on their own site & I'll link to it.
  • I'd like to have the alumni names and information of  "Famous",  "Not so Famous", "Local Personalities", "People who are Famous in their own Minds", "Alumni who are on their way to stardom", "Politicians",  "Writers", "Artists", "Astronauts",  you get the idea.
  • Do you support, actively endorse a cause?  Tell us about it.
  • Any weddings, anniversies, births, new grandkids to brag about?
  • Proud parent or grandparent of a daughter/son/grandkid who achieieved something you'd like to brag about?  (An example,  my daughter recieved the "President's Most Improved Certificate" & Honor Roll upon graduation from 6th grade.)
  • Are you an expert in an area that you'd like to share?
  • Are you a producer, publisher, artist, writer, musician who would like to share with us.
  • Starting a business?  Tell us about it.
  • Got photo's of Hayward? Doggie Diner? The Cannery? Streets that have changed appearance?

September
Give me the Duh award, Mike Van Kleek created a site for the class of 1990 on his web site.  I'm looking for quite a few volunteers who are willing to create their class pages and I'll link back to them.
Did you all have a nice vacation? Vacation is over and school is starting again for those of us with school age kids.

I am delegating the last "New Page" to the "Old Page" status.

A "All Reunions" page has been created to assist all who are looking for immediate information about their class reunion or any other class reunions that are pending. Also gathering information for committee member names.

In the future you will find more information about Chris Eastin and articles about other missing kids from the area.

Basically, all I will be doing with the site is cleaning it up and improving what is here already. If you have any suggestions, please email me with your ideas at: sunset_hs_alum@rocketmail.com .

UPDATE on Amanda Banks: ... thanks to your posting my message on your web site, I got an e-mail Saturday from someone who did know Randy Salas back in the 60's. I have located others now also who did, and have contacted some of his family. Unfortunately, he is deceased also. I am still in the process of verifying whether or not he is indeed my birth father, but it looks to be a very strong possibility at this point. My birth mother's sister remembered his name being Salas, that's why I gave that to you to post. She also remembers a nickname "Gigi" and Randy Salas had a brother named "Gigi". Sadly, he is also deceased. My birth mother's first husband remembered a "Randy Cooper" so I was trying to follow up on that name as well, but so far, haven't found anything other than his picture in the Mt. Eden yearbook in 1964 and 1965, but no one seems to remember anything about him, and I haven't been able to locate him now.

I have also contacted Jeanne (Smith) Martin from Mt. Eden who is in the process of coordinating the 30 year class reunion Aug. 15. She went to jr. high with my birth mom, and also remembers Randy Salas. They went to Calaroga. They are going to make an announcement for me at the class reunion.

I am so grateful for everyone's help! Also, thanks to your posting my message, I have stayed in close contact with Judy Verhoek and she has mailed my husband and I airline passes to fly out there. We are planning a trip in September to meet everyone I have found so far. We are really excited!

I wanted to give you this latest update before you changed the message for August. I guess you should leave it as it is, or you can take off Salazar and add Cooper as a possibility, or add "Gigi" as Randy's brother.... I will leave it up to you if you want to change it.

Thank you again so much! Feel free to write back if you have questions. I know this is a little hard to follow...I have trouble keeping up with it myself sometimes, but hopefully I am almost to the end of my search.

Amanda

By the way, for those of you who email Sandy Dittmer, she has a new address at: dittmer@home.com.

Has anyone heard anything about the class reunion for the class of 73? It should be this year.
Haven't been able to locate a thing about it...So
if you have any information I would appreciate hearing from you. Thanks for all your help. I want to go......
Hey guys,

I think it's time to take a vacation from the Sunset site. I have been updating this site since April 1996.

If there is an immediate need to get a hold of me, you can contact me at:  sunset_hs_alum@rocketmail.com .

The only thing you will find in this space for the next 3 months will be if you have changed email addy's or reunion information.

Information such as obit's, weddings, etc. etc. you can send to the above email addy and I will put it up sometime in September.

Sandy Dittmer let me know that the address form wasn't working properly. Fixed it, thanks Sandy.

Summer Vacation ImageHave a Nice Summer!!
The word is, it's a combined class reunion for 1988, '89 & '90. Give Lesley Kim a write and let her know you want to be on the mailing list or kept informed of reunion developments. By the way, for those of you who email Sandy Dittmer, she has a new address at: dittmer@home.com.

Don't forget to check the previous month's information, below.
New for May 1998
Remember the May Pole in grade school?
May Day concerts up in the Hayward Hills?
The Collector's Coffee Shop on Mission Blvd.?

I had heard that an arsonist set fire to Sunset, but was not sure as to what year.  I found the yearbook with the incident, photo's taken by the Daily Review.  The year 1979.

Did you know that Sylvia Chacon ('79) is a d.j. on KYA/KFRC?  Will contact the station for official bio.  This information comes from Michael Faria.  Thanks Mike, every little bit of information helps this site.

Peggy Allardyce ('71) was in the news on 15 April 1998.  Click here to read the story.

I've retired the guestbook and started another one.

Also put a Add-a-Link to the Alumni in Cyberspace page.

In June, I will supply links and information about Reunion Companies to use if your facing the daunting task of putting together a reunion by yourself or with just a few people.

Guestbook Suggestion Which leads me to a suggestion by Sandra Mandawe ('79) about the guestbook:
Question - "would it be possible to add an edit button to correct our entries?  This would come in handy if people like myself continue to check out the guestbook and want to edit/update their comments or status fields some time in the future."
Answer - At this time I am not aware of such a feature being provided by Geocities for guestbook entries.  Entries are usually edited by moi.
Supply Your Bio I have a suggestion that Ellen McPherson ('86) has taken advantage of, and that is to send me a bio or statement you would like to pass on to your former classmates and I will add it to your class page.  If you don't like the way it reads or want to make corrections, copy & paste the bio into a message, make your corrections and I'll be happy to up date your class page.
Obit Page "Ms. Mary Quigley to the obituary page.  I saw the notice in today's, April 20th paper.  She died of cancer (a long illness) at age 74.  She was the shorthand teacher."  Shirley Howell ('77)  Anyone have the Daily Review, April 20th edition?  Search for an Adoptee's Father Scroll on down to April's monthly updates for added information about Amanda Bank's search for her father.

April 1998

Happy 2nd Birthday, Sunset site. This site has been up since 22 April, 1996!

Okay, I broke down and bought space from geocities. We now, have 20 mbs to work with and a shorter url. Url is now:

Would you like to be a Site Sponsor? A Sponsor's page identifying you as a sponsor  to the site will be created.  How can you become a sponsor?   Easy.  All you have to do is contribute to the monthly cost by sending a check for $4.95 to keep this site up and going. There is further information below in the month of March.

And I thought I was done updating the site. With more space available, I have started creating subdirectories to keep track of certain types of pages. If you click on a link and it leads no where, then I'm in the process of updating and moving files into a subdirectory. Please be patient, more construction dust.

The first page to receive yet another face lift is the obit page, which is now quite a few pages. Please, if you can help with further information regarding people in the obituary section, let us know.

I receive allot of spam, but this message is different and worth reading. It was forwarded onto me by Mick  Caracol.
Please take a few minutes to read the message and maybe you have a clue to this puzzle.

Subject: Randy - 1967 Alumni

Hello! Allow me a minute to tell you about myself and see if you are able to help me.
My name is Amanda Banks and I now reside in the Kansas City, MO area. I was, however, born in Oakland on December 26, 1964. I was born to a 14 year old girl and subsequently placed for adoption. I am now trying to locate my birth parents. I have been in touch with some of my birth mother's family, only to discover she was killed 12 years ago.

I am now trying to find my birth father. All I know at this time is that his  name is Randy Salazar or Salas  and was from Hayward, CA. Also, Randy's father was a traffic officer back then, which I have now learned most likely means California Highway
Patrol. Perhaps that would be another clue for someone.

I am now trying to get in touch with people from the different high schools in Hayward to see if anyone would have old yearbooks and could look to see if he appears. He was fairly tall for his age, slender, brown hair, brown eyes, and possibly Italian descent. He was in the 10th grade at the time of my birth. My birth mother's name was Vikki Downey and she was in the 9th grade, possibly at Mt. Eden High School, but went on to graduate from Newark. I checked with Mt. Eden first and haven't had any luck there for "Randy" so I am now trying the other high schools. If you can help me in any way, either by looking in old yearbooks or by giving me someone else to contact, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you so much for your time and any assistance you might offer.

FYI: The area code for Pleasanton, Livermore, etc. is now 925

Oh yeah, the site finally made it into the Daily Review.  Just a little blurb attached to a 1988/'89 reunion hunt.  It's getting there, might even get an article written about  it.

New for March 1998
my new logo? Well, here we are in March and without a job. uugghh! Click on the maybe new Logo and visit my personal site. The on line resume is located there. My site has sorely been neglected and needs to be up dated.

You may have noticed that the Class Pages are in another location within Geocities. This is due to space constraints. Geocities lets you have 3 mbs of space for free. That's very nice of 'em.

I am breaking down and will purchase 15 mbs 20 mbs of space from Geocities for a year at the cost of $59.40. If you dear Alumni would like to keep and enlarge the site, to add more images and history to the site, you can contribute as little as $4.95 a month.

There are many advantages to having a Geoplus site:

  • a personalized, and easy to use Web address with a GeoPlus membership. With your Personal URL, http://www.oocities.org/~yourname and your GeoCities address, http://www.oocities.org/neighborhood/membername your visitors have even more ways to locate your site.
  • Twelve CGI scripts in the GeoPlus CGI Library. The CGI Library includes a Simple Survey, Clocks, Countdowns, and nine more!
  • Subdirectories
  • Ad Free Zone

If you would like to expand the site here are some options:

  • Make the check or money order payable to GeoCities, and put your GeoCities member name (sunset-falcons) and GeoCities URL (Athens/Acropolis/6178) in the memo field, in the lower left corner.

Since I will be sending a check, it will take a while before the new url and added options will be available. Email me if your interested in contributing.

The Obit page is being updated and will be more refined, when done. It's a work in progress, actually had to stop and work on resume.

Class Reunion for 1978 & 1979. Plan to attend the '78 & '79 reunion at the Pleasanton Hilton Hotel on the 26th of September. A No Host bar will open at 7 pm, followed by dinner at 8pm. Cost for tickets are $50.00 a person. If you are interested in attending, contact Bob Quenzel in Stockton at odyessy@cwws.net or phone Bob @ 209.369.7410.

1988 & 89 will be holding their reunion in October of this year.  If you want to put your 2 cents in, there will be a meeting on 28 March, 1:00 pm in the Sunset Library.
Ok, everybody in unison, chant: PARTY, PARTY, toga, toga, PARTY!!!  Like the Nike commercial says: "JUST DO IT!" First alumni committee meeting will be held 14 March, Sunset Library, 11:00 am.  If you want to attend please email me and let me know.  Follow up information will be posted on the Reunion Planning Page.
Okay, I had to put the Geoguide at the top of the index page.  But i had to do it in order to get the Sunset banner in the Geoguide loop.  Sadly, it will have to stay at the top of the page.
The site has won AWARDS, yeeeaaa!  Please visit the sites that have given us awards.  They are nice sites to visit, honest.
New for February 1998
Judy Ruiz Verhoek, reports that she is "working toward securing a National Day of Remembrance for The Missing, and would like it to be January 4, Christine's birthday.  She is the original impetus, and the focus should be on life."
Judy has been a true and loyal friend to Christine Eastin. The Sunset site will be happy to publish any information regarding a National Day of Remembrance for The Missing.  XXOOXX's  for Judy.
This month we have information for the class of 1968.  1978 & '79 are supposed to be planning their reunion, but we have not heard anything.
1988 & '89 reunion committee  is holding a meeting on the 15th of Feb. at Applebee's at Southland Mall, 1:00 pm.    1983 is combining it's reunion with 1982.

The question has been posed, is 1974 having a reunion?  If so, please contact me so that I can put the information up as one of our alumni has to travel from the Carolina's to California.

The Reunion Planning Page has more information to help plan your reunion and more is on the way. Check out the  Reunion Planning Page  for further information.

I will be in attendance at Applebee's Restaurant on the 15th of Feb., at 1:00 pm.  Now, is your chance to drop off a hard copy of your missing classmate's list, bring your yearbooks for scanning,  photos you want scanned, give me an earful about the Sunset site or ideas to improve it.
We will be throwing out ideas and information about holding a reunion, so you don't have to be in 1988 or '89's class to participate.  If your class held it's reunion last year, please come and give us ideas and share your experiences with us.
Excitement is in the air.  The Class Pages are evolving and taking on a different look.  '60s pages are done, now working on the '70s.                Remember when?  Go see for yourself.
There is a Java Calendar, on the site and you can add whatever you would like to it. Birthdays, anniversaries, committee meetings, reunion party dates. Whatever you like.
The Committee Do's & Don't Page is back.  A page of information for those who have NEVER started or worked on their class reunion.  Both pages are linked on the Reunion Planning Page.
Exciting News - Yes the Alumni CAN rent the Sunset facilities for an Alumni Party.
