Invitation

If you are a dreamer, come in.
If you are a dreamer, a wisher, a liar,
	A hope-er, a pray-er, a magic bean buyer...
If you're a pretender come sit by my fire
For we have some flax-golden tales to spin.
	  Come in!
	  Come in!
			-Shel Silverstein

Ah, Poetry. I'll admit it now. I'm a poetry freak. I read it, I write it, I collect it, I quote it. But we all write poetry. What? You don't believe it? Well I know of at least one person who agrees with me:

-The French Lieutenant's Woman. John Fowles

Here's some poems that are a little more well known:

These poems come from The New Oxford Book of Canadian Verse as chosen by Margaret Atwood.
