What follows are a few of my favorite films, and some comments on them. I own more
than
600 films, so I won't list them all. But here
are some of the best.
TWIN PEAKS:FIRE WALK WITH
ME
This film influenced me incrediblly, being by one of my favorite directors:David Lynch. I am also a huge Twin Peaks fan, so I'm sure that played a part as well. But I actually think the film stands alone quite well, for those of you who have never seen the television series. All in all, a landmark film in my opinion.
BLADE RUNNER
What can I say about Blade Runner that hasn't already been said. I can say its probably my favorite science-fiction film of all time. This film was based on the novel:"Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?", written by Philip K. Dick.
DARK CITY
Speaking of science-fiction greats, that brings me to Dark City, the best film of the genre since Dune. I am well aware that, for the most part, this film did not receive favorable reviews. Never-the-less I consider it to be a true mile-stone in cinema.
THE REPLACEMENT
KILLERS
FACE/OFF
STRANGE DAYS
I love this film! I have often thought that if I were to direct a film, it would share a great deal in common with Strange Days. I should also note that the story you see in this film is mostly the vision of James Cameron(see below).
HAMLET
What I love about the works of Shakespeare is personified in this extraordinary film by Kenneth Branaugh.
FALLEN
ALIENS
THE ABYSS
TERMINATOR 2:JUDGEMENT
DAY
Aliens, The Abyss, and Terminator 2 are the highlights of one of the greatest visionaries in film history. Strong words, I know, but I believe them to be true. James Cameron is one of the few people i consider to possess true genius. His films have all hit me like a slap in the face, with their raw vitality, their incredible cinemetography, and last but not least, their vast human appeal, being able to always instill the sense of hope our world so desperately needs. Of all his films, The Abyss is by far my favorite. It fills me with a sense of wonder that I remember from my childhood, like when I watched Star Wars for the first time.
SE7EN
One of the most brilliant, yet disturbing films ever made.

SIMPLE MEN
A film...actually it's probably the quintisential film by one of my favorite directors,Hal Hartley. His fims are an aquired taste, but I absolutely love them.
