Most of these songs come from when I worked in a small recording studio. I had written the songs earlier, but one of the fringe benefits was that I could personally record whatever I wanted, so I did. The downside was that I had to play everything, so except for the lead guitar in the song "Second Wind", I played all the musical instruments. That is both good AND bad! (G)

"HE CARES"
Runtime: 4:01 Size: 699 K

I used many synthesizers in recording this song, which didn't make me very popular at the time, but it is still one of my favorite songs. Although this is quite a tame song, I was actually criticized for "He Cares" because it was "too much like a rock song!"

"SECOND WIND"
Runtime: 3:36 Size 637 K

After the "rock sound" criticism for "He Cares", I decided to really make a "rock sounding song", by arranging Second Wind faster and harder than it was originally written. Originally, this song was mellow, along the lines of Alanis Morrisette's song "Uninvited". I think the bass playing in this song is some of my best, next only to "Behold the Man".

"THE DREAM"
Runtime: 3:36 Size 637 K

This one has some really weird, yet cool chords in the chorus (How can it NOT when it starts with D Minor???) and I like the lyrics in the chorus.

"SAY YOU LOVE ME"
Runtime: 3:16 Size 960 K

This song was ORIGINALLY one of a trio of love songs I had written to my girlfriend at the time, but I believed this one would be more appropos as a Gospel song with JESUS as the main character in the song.

"BEHOLD THE MAN"
Runtime: 4:13 Size 865 K

The first song I ever wrote. An inside humourous note: The intro is a complete mistake! When I first started learning to play guitar (I am self taught), I could not believe that anyone would be expected to place their fingers in such arcane positions, so I made adjustments to accomodate my clumsy fingers. The intro was SUPPOSED to be A major going into F major, but I just *knew* that you could get away with playing Asus2 and Fmin7. It DID give it a neat sound, though.

"FAMILY REUNION"
Runtime: 4:15 Size 2 MB

This is my favorite song of all time. It was originally written and performed by Squire Parsons. This is MY version of it.

"DO YOU HAVE A DREAM?"
Runtime: 3:00 Size 984 K

This is my wife's favorite song of mine, and since this version is instrumental only, it might be your favorite as well! There ARE lyrics to it, but I just haven't gotten around to providing the voice track, but if you only download a couple of songs here, DOWNLOAD THIS ONE!(G)

"HE CARES, instrumental"
Runtime: 4:01 Size: 699 K

This is the sound track only for "He Cares", and it shows you how beautiful of a song my voice messes up. The one thing missing is the final bass track, since this instrumental version was taken BEFORE I laid the bass guitar, so you will have to do with synth bass.
